I am not representing DJs in this thread, we're not even talking about music or programming, nor did I claim to represent anyone.
If anything I represent the typical thoughts of most door promoters in this thread. And none of the promoters I know have a high tolerance for people who think $10 is a rip off for a primetime weekend entry for dudes. Pointing this out is exactly what my livelyhood is based on, not justifying the giving away of a door just because 2 dudes think $10 doesn't justify the benefits of entry.
You felt Empire's actions represented the "typical Vegas runaround" when in fact they went far over and above the standard reaction of laughing at you, going so far as to offer you half price which you still refused, and then you even felt the need to report it here because you were obviously so offended at the notion of paying to get in.
Anyway it's obvious this has gone on long enough and I guess we should both let it go at this point. If you haven't learned something here, be prepared for some very dissapointing door experiences in this city. Best of luck to you too.
In all fairness... I understand what Crossfit is saying.. I was at the icehouse and Dave was at the door passing out free passes and telling people it free entry with them... an Empire representative was telling him free so he decided to check it out to find out at the door that it was not free... so Im sure he felt lied to or mislead... Issue dropped got my last 2 cents in...
and Greenie come check out Reson8... the sound systems in all 3 rooms are good, not anything spectacular, but definately not lacking.. Everyone that comes has a really good time, the night has a good vibe if you enjoy electronic music..

Believing me? I wasn't even there. But you're basing your perception of the truth on a call to a radio show. Either way, like I said before, the group of people who patronized my spot, tipped well, acted respectfully and spent a lot. Sorry if other people experienced a lower crowd.
I saw reports on sites like CNN, MSNBC, they all had reports of the bullshit the allstar game brought..

Aside from the shooting at Mynxx that killed someone adn injured 2 others... the hit and run that killed a lady, Empire getting 2 bouncers put in the hospital, Young Buck and The Game brawling, According to CNN the Icehouse got shut down on that sat for fights, a cop every 20 feet on the strip, the other numerous shootings and fights, and David Stern saying "never again", I would say the positive was ummmm... The jersey looked cool on the statue of liberty?!!?
I even found bullet shells in front of the forum shops a few days after. The bar manager at the icehouse told me she made more on tips 1 normal weekend day then she made the whole all star weekend.
I did not hear from any locals that had anything good to say about the weekend, except the ones that were happy nothing happen to them.
