We are doing the Focus Dance Competition this Tuesday. This night is all about showcasing the amazing dancers that call focus home. This is the ONLY House Music Dance Competition and you are what make it great. I'm going to make sure everybody gets a Focus T-Shirt just for signing up and giving it a shot. Plus we are working with some sponsors to try and have awesome prizes and at least $300 in cash to give away. We would love to have you sign up and be a part of it this year. We are going to put a lot of work into this one to make sure it's the best one yet. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them. Also if you know any other dancers that would be down to dance please forward this email along to them. There are 3 categories for this: Breaking, Popping & Freestyle. Freestyle. Reply to this email (info@focus-oc.com) with your name (or alias you go by) and which category you'd like to sign up in. make sure you are at the club by 10:30 PM at the latest so we can make sure everybody is there and if there are any no shows we can give the spots to anybody who may have signed up @ the door. The names will be posted on www.focus-oc.com. It will be very similar to the last ones and it will be a battle format and it will be located @ Tapas. Don't forget the club is 18 & Over so young dancers are more than welcome to compete. It's hard to put all of Derrick Carter's accomplishments into words & being such a legend not much needs to be said. The creator of the "Boompty" Tech House sound and co-founder of Classic records, Derrick Carter is one of the biggest names in house music. Born & raised in the western suburbs of Chicago he brings that energy that Chicago house DJs are known for. If you ask any DJ with that "Chicago" sound, who inspires them, not one would leave Derrick Carter off their list.
