  1. i had terrible skin as a teenager & went thru all the stuff the dermatologist recommended/prescribed. i think i bought that sucker a boat with all the money he got from me over the years.

then about 10 yrs ago my hairdresser recommended this and it totally changed my life. it is a soap free cleansing bar (soap strips the good stuff from your skin & makes zits worse) with collodial oatmeal & is totally fragrance free & hypoallergenic. DO NOT get the aveeno complexion bar for bad skin (it STRIPS your skin like a ferrari in the ghetto after dark).

i use this makeup remover (suggested by the derma dr) cause its ez on the skin, takes off EYEmakeup too. I don't like their line of moisturizers cause its too heavy & greasy for me. but the neat part is it can be used with or without water so its great for travelling:

& finally my goddess of a hairdresser told me the BEST secret for killing off emergency zits when u are in need to be lovely for the next day's event. its kinda old skool, but u can still find it.... normally in the men's shaving area of the drug store. styptic pens are used for razor nicks, but when dabbed on a zit & left on overnight it completely dries out the nasty like *snap*

what disappointed me about prescription cures was they don't improve your skin over time, u go without & u look a mess, & of course i have better things to spend money on. the 3 up there are all easy to get in a drug store without paying a doctor & they work like a dream. low maintenance & it really seems to make your skin better in the long run.

try the system & u will see the difference in a week.

    trust yo mama.

  2. when i'm bad:

    french toast

    fresh fruit pancrepes

    blueberry pancakes

bacon or ham (i would make a terrible muslim)

    bloody mary's and/or mimosas

    when i behave myself:

    multigrain bagels

cracklin oat bran (looks like dog food, tastes like yum)

oatmeal with cranberries & raisins (not that instant ick)

    yogurt with fruit or grapenuts

    turkey bacon

green tea with mint & honey

  3. i've only been on this board for a few days, but i'm not terribly impressed.

i do like the members & the ppl are witty with the quick lolz.

but the site itself has server issues or something (maybe from the still avatars & animated sigs??). i guess i'm just spoiled to a site that is reponsive & quick like a tiger.

the imageshak thing is prolly good for that problem on a practical level.... bumping old threads can be done with a little savvy instead of the default phrase "bump"

i can even understand why u would trim down sex & drugs for the benefit of the working e-slacker.

but this part "could speak our minds about which parties we thought sucked.." is the complete fail. that is horrible!! do the mods really do this? voltaire said something about "i may not agree with what u have to say, but i would give my LIFE that u have the right to speak your mind" its the foundation of democracy. i know the internet isn't a democracy, but girl can dream.

i saw something about how u guys aren't allowed to post about other party sites cause of competition (stoopid greedy rule imo). if your site ROX then u have nothing to worry about cause your members will stay loyal it. they might even find greater respect for your site because that would be in the spirit of the music COMMUNITY instead of the sad idea that there isn't enuf clubbers to go around for pocket filling PROFIT.

i'm hoping these last two are misunderstandings. really i do.

  4. LMAO... i have a friend who every time i see him (6month intervals) he always says... "shits good man, just trying to get my life drama free, and finally straighten up"

lmao. i think we have the same friend.

it makes me think of the yoda thing:

    try not. DO.

how hard is it to see drama coming? u know what i mean. u can feel it in the air when u walk into some rooms. when your drama radar goes off, WALK AWAY & don't look back.

some ppl are addicted to drama. they love being victims (or predators)

  5. My bad. I thought I saw a post by you about Williamsburg. My bad.

Very cool, I'll recheck your link

First gallery. I own several businesses.

    o i c

williamsburg is actually correct. so u were right, kinda.

    williamsburg BROOKLYN not VA. :)

  6. Yep, agreed. LA. Link doesnt worrk, lemme edit it see if it works. No, gallery opens about Sept. My friends go to one in Florida and Basel, but I do too many things to travel for em (even though would like to). You manage for Dallas but live in VA? Thats cool

i wrote out a reply earlier but this board kinda sucks & server too busy erased my post & even back couldn't save my text.

attn modgods >> please buy a big boy server with all that ad $....mmmkthx...lub-u-byby

i fixed my link, dunno why it added this site before my link. how wonky is that?

    anywho...

so your gallery is in the works eh? that is a very exciting period. so much potential in that phase.

art fairs are cool cause they only last a week. basel in miami in december is much fun & collectors come from all over the world in DROVES. u just pick out your fav beauties, ship em down, work it for a week & come home. best working vacation ever. my accountant loves it.

so do u have a day job or something? have u been a curator/gallerist/dealer before? i have a day job at a charity.

i dunno why u would think i live in VA :???:

i currently manage a gallery in dallas but i'm moving to newyork to accept a gallery director position in november. its nice. i did independent curatorial projects for about 7 years before i came to plush. i still have much to learn but art is so dynamic. u can live an entire life & not learn everything there is out there. i love that part.

  7. Nice. I deal with mid century works, mainstream big names, but I luv ur type of stuff. Very into neon.

mid century modern? any surrealist stuff?

are u from vegas? do u work for a gallery or are u doing it freelance?

  8. the next one i curate before i leave dallas will have some photography (teresa nasty), painting (mark nelson) and neon (michael christopher) and i'm gonna throw in some of my assemblage pieces (paperdolls & dress patterns inside found mahogany boxes)

i'm just happy to be moving to nyc because there is a wider audience for the kind of stuff i'm into. there are fans in dallas, but its time for me to move on.

  9. (i'll only be here for another 10 minutes today, but i'll visit u ppl tomorrow)

    weird non-traditional stuff...

    soft porn latch hook rugs,

ak-47's made out of stuffed felt & sequins,

performance art like fire breathers & polka bands that do 80's covers like beat it,

plug in suitcases with portholes on the sides so u can see the dioramas within,

graff inspired paintings with weird iconography & oddball color schemes,

uv-reactive gunshot paintings with attached shell casings

    video installations with rotating projections

stuff like eric doeringer & peter caine

    not your typical art.

  10. first off plastic surgery is the fail.

whatever pr0n star told these girls that shiny tans look good needs an aS5 beating. shine doesn't make your skin look healthy. u look greasy.

& if u do get a hardcore dial-a-tan, PLEASE buy new concealer in the right color unless u are going for the drag queen malibu barbie in kabuki makeup look.

her eyes look empty & dead in that blowfish pic

that girl needs a hobby. for serious
