Tune into CBS Morning Edition this Friday, 3/21 at 8am as Laurence Gartel speaks about his vision while Mickey Nightrain plays a couple of his latest tracks from his live p.a.
"What sets us apart is that MASSIVE MUSIC is not a party. It is a cultural
event. Its goals and objectives are to showcase the talent of artists working
in the area of Digital Art and Digital Music. One might very well inspire the
other. We are not a commercial entity looking to please a crowd which expects
the predictable. Just like being at any trade show of any industry, the "usual"
is typically bland. It is only on the outside; the "fringe" if you will where all the
excitement, and fresh energy can be found. Thus we have selected AREA 57
for its ambiance, to host the first MASSIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL. Our goal is to
enlighten the public to come out of slumber from a completely comatose
music industry and wake them up with exciting performers who take risks
and have passion for their craft."

Hey friends, we're booking my 2008 Tour which will be in support of a very special mix cd entitled "Internal Design" which is a collection of tracks from my label Nightrain Music. It will be available March 15th in stores worldwide as a CD and in digital formats as well which will be available on iTunes, Beatport and all other major download sites. It is a dj mix which was of course painstakingly mixed by myself on 2 Denon DNS3500s and a Pioneer DJM 909 straight to disc.
The mix features original productions from the likes of Keithy B, Hy2rogen, Isolated Pockets, Dibby Doughrety, Manendra, Jhonny GK, MPB, Simon Firth, Jeff Haze, Ronny Magic, Rupert Romaro and myself.
It's a varied format mix including house, organic house, tech-house, techno, electro and progressive 16 tracks deep so I think it will appeal to house heads of all sorts.
Cities already confirmed on the tour are Shanghai, London, Australia, South Africa, Miami, Reno, Nashville, Atlanta, Baltimore and more coming soon.

No laptop computer, no DAT, no pre-recorded sources such as a cd, vinyl or mp3. Taking his second live p.a. set entitled Groovebox Symphony in a whole new direction, Petza's sound has matured while keeping the groove. The dramatic set takes on many influences but keeps the integrity of his productions as his past house / techno alter ego "Maximus" in which his tracks have appeared on the legendary Frankie Bones' labels. His latest track "Meno Mosso" will be realeased on July 27th is a prime example of just a part of the sound and style he creates with hardware synthesizers, samplers, effects and of course, a groovebox drum machine. The first US Groovebox Symphony show will be at Studio A in Miami, FL afterhours July 22 starting at 3:30am Sunday Morning. No cover for those 21 and up and $10 cover for those 18 and up.

Known to many as Maximus for his productions on the legendary Frankie Bones labels, Marty Petza aka Mickey Nightrain has dedicated the last decade to pushing the
boundaries of electronic dance music. After a 5 year residency at Nashville's Club eXceSs/ORBIT Petza moved his studio last year to Naples, FL where he has begun the task of creating his debut artist album while holding a residency at Sway Lounge (www.swaynaples.com) in his new hometown. Setting Nightrain apart from others is his ability to play original productions completely live with no laptop, DAT or other prerecorded sources...even the final mix is done live on his hardware synthesizers, drum machine and samplers. His deckmanship complements his production abilities as well while capitalizing on a deep rooted love for the classic sounds of techno and house with the more modern sounds of today. In February his tracks won him top pick in Dj Mag..."Crossover" and "Work It" have been destroying dancefloors across the globe and are available at all major online music retailers.
