FIMO "POLLENFLUG EP" PCDT-006

FIMO is the project of three guys from the music city of Mannheim. Each of them has a variety of musical roots, which in combination developed to an ambitious and productive trio. The influences are ranging from Deep House enriched with jazzy and dubby elements to minimal groovy tunes. These guys have been musically active in the Rhein/Neckar region for many years. With the Pollenflug EP they present their first release and allow for a small view on their interpretation of electronic music. Besides DJing and studio work, FIMO are currently working on their live performance. The EP already got huge support from Loco Dice, Luciano, Ray Okpara, Johnny D, Nekes, Federico Molinari, Pablo Bolivar, Lars Behrenroth!

This is the first time that Kiko Navarro & DJ Fudge worked together on a project. The Ideal EP offers three hot tracks: Maximal, which is inspired by the sounds of Kerri Chandler and Hardfloor is getting massive floor reactions already. Fudge played it at the Back2Fundamentals party and the crowd went totally mad. Micra on the flipside mixes minimal sounds with a great deep house spirit to it, including groove, soul and with some "French Kiss" touch. Magnetic Rain is Kiko & Fudge's tribute to mother earth: if we don‘t care about it, there will be more acid and magnetic rain, which will destroy our environment. That's why the track has a dark mood with organic sounds of rain and other melodramatic elements...

I bet there are plenty people excited about this collaboration even before hearing so much as the first few bars. As soon as this landed, it looked an intriguing proposition and it doesn’t disappoint. The EP gets underway with “Maximal†- you can expect driving beats and a funky synth bassline which are augmented by a powerful combination of synths that are sure to drive many a dance floor wild. “Micra†is a mood builder that goes deeper dubbier and techier as does “Magnetic Rain†with its oriental flavours. If you like either producer’s previous projects you’ll want to check this out.

GOGO Music is delighted to present 'Uyangichomela' by the South African group SHANA. Simply Hot And Naturally African (SHANA) are three guys who met while studying music in Durban and formed this magnificent band in 1997. A shared passion for music led to an instant understanding, even though they came from widely different backgrounds. The combination has proved to be an excellent one. Each musician brings his special talent to the group, which gives their music both depth and subtle flavours. The various experiences they bring to the equation create surprisingly well-developed harmonies and complex sound fusions. But most importantly, SHANA'S music is able cross all age groups as they're determined to win over fans of all kinds irrespective of age, creed or race. In addition to promoting and performing their own albums, SHANA do their own song writing and production. They've also co-produced albums for other artists including South African Music Award (SAMA) 2005 Dance Album Winner Lebo Mathosa.
Christos Katsaitis is a legendary deejay and one of the South Africa's most respected house producers. A veteran of over two decades, he has consistently broached colour lines to deliver his feel-good rhythms. As a deejay, Christos is associated with some of the most seminal nightspots of his country. He also works with Vinny da Vinci, with whom he released five excellent DJs At Work albums and in 1998 won the SAMA award for best dance album. He has been nominated 8 years in a row for the SAMA awards - cutting edge recordings that blissfully blend local motifs and solid international house action. Christos played a pivotal role in defining the sound of Kwaito and local Afro-house, as well, initially with collaborators like DJ Static P, Tim White of House Afrika fame and Quentin Foster. With honesty and open-mindedness that's blind to cultural barriers he earned himself a major role in the development of the South African dance music by producing countless albums including the new one of SHANA.
When GOGO Music's main man Ralf GUM heard SHANA for the first time on his South Africa tour in autumn 2008 he instantly was hooked. Seduced by their sweet soulful vocal melodies and spiritual lyrics, which are sung in their native language of Zulu, he had to get 'Uyangichomela' signed to GOGO Music for a worldwide single release. Of course he couldn't resist bringing his fantastic sensual remix talent to the track. Back home Ralf easily delivered 3 outstanding reworks within shortest time. His 'Classic Mix' abounds Soul and features passionate live-instrumentation played around the emotional chord progression of keyboarder and composer Michael 'Nivalito' Ehnes, while Ralf's detailed beats and percussion act a an unstoppable booster to the tune. The Ralf GUM 'Deep Mix' is a hypnotic explosion for mind and body and will cause ecstatic dance-floors. His 'Deep Dub' minimizes the vocal and uses the pulsing rhythm and chords of the 'Deep Mix' for a musical journey. Equipped with Ralf GUM's mixes SHANA are now ready to conquer the world with their first release on GOGO Music, after they already managed to get one of the most sought after groups in their homeland. And in so doing, they have created music that is authentic enough to avoid artifice, smart enough to grow with the people and trusting enough to appeal to the public.

Dubgroove are the Cologne DJs and producers Groovemaster K and Rene Suess. For almost 20 years they have been playing and producing together and are highly respected for pioneering House Music in Germany.
Groovemaster K has seen tracks and remixes released on the Legendary Dutch Label, WORK as well as more recent projects for SOULFURIC as one half of the BONGOLOVERZ production team. Rene Suess is also known for his Dreambeam & Krypton Junkies Projects.
Now after working with each other behind the decks for almost 20 years the pair decided it was definitely time to get together in the studio. The result is the FATBURNER EP. Rulers of the Deep or DJ Meri and P.Julm are nominated in
MTV Europe Music Awards 2008 with their mega hit Planet Drum in category Best Baltic Act.
The nominees have been selected by a local academy made up from representatives from MTV, major
and independent labels and members of the local MTV audience.
Totally there are 5 nominees: 2 from Estonia, 2 from Lithuania and 1 from Latvia.
The Best Baltic Act winner will enter the second round to win the ultimate title – Europe's Favorite.
Its been a very long time until a House Music Artist has been nominated on MTV EMA and this time our very own
Peppermint Jam Artist’ Rulers of the Deep have a chance to go to the awards ceremony – WITH YOUR HELP!

Next up you’ll get some fierce Latin carnival percussion in form of the instrumental track “Parabatuâ€, an uplifting dynamic summer track right for the peak time. Jaffa Music present this wonderful EP perfect for the summer with its uplifting vibes. Its an eight track selection of past and upcoming releases kicked off with "Gotcha" by Rachel Claudio. The 'Nassau Remix' is a fiercely stormin', funk drenched affair featuring wicked keys and classic strings alongside passionate vocals, while the 'Deep Inc Discofied Mix' goes deeper and relaxes the vibe for a groovier take on a Disco tinged tip, with a beautiful piano accompanying the vocals. With influences that range from the bells of Mike Oldfield to the beats of Jeff Mills, the depths of James Holden to the drive of Josh wink, its Yellow's signature blend of hypnotic techno and deephouse that he is respected for. With both drive and melancholic strains apparent in his works, Yellow is a master at weaving melodies and grooves that continue to hypnotize and energize over the course of a night.
All these influences culminate in this 13 minutes voyage of "Les Rym De Zoe" and its more dj friendly edit. Yellow takes advantage in the Original Mix, drawing out the intro for 5 minutes before dropping the beats. An overwhelming bassline twirls up from the beginning accompanied by sweet bell melodies and beautiful warm pads before the madness starts. If you don't like intros, have fun with the flipside.
