  1. Cat gets involved in the mixing process for Alex Parsons new EP, Glock n Clock!
  2. ARTIST: Alex Parsons RELEASE: Glock n Clock LABEL: Aciitone Blue RELEASE DATE: Out Now REMIXES: BUBBA, Robsounds BUY | LISTEN: BEATPORT http://bit.ly/BEATPORTPARSONS Alex Parsons returns with another killer single on Aciitone Blue. Glock n Clock is a chunky tech houser packed full of energy, charm and blissed out groove. Warm low end, super slick percussion and overlying melody is brought together by tech house stabs that give the track great energy throughout. Very current and sure to really work the floor. On remix duties is rising chuggy house maestro and all round good guy BUBBA. His take sees a much more techy approach. This big room blast features much looser percussion that creates a fantastic rolling groove. Big hits of synth and some well placed rises and killer main drop make for a serious big room piece. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ FEEDBACK: I really Like it, its a perfect track for my DJ set. 3. Label: 16 Steps Catalogue#: 16S003 Artist: Will Konitzer Release: Evensong/Wind Through Wires Remix: Evensong, Agent Toga Remix Release Date: 30th September 2010 BUY|LISTEN: http://www.beatport.com/en-US/html/content/release/detail/284499/ http://www.junodownload.com/products/evensong/1636539-02/ http://www.trackitdown.net/genre/tech_house_minimal/track/2643788.html http://www.play.com/Music/MP3-Download-Album/4-/16614226/Evensong/Product.html SOUNDCLOUD: http://soundcloud.com/16-steps/sets/will-konitzer-evensong 16 STEPS PRODUCTION SCHOOL: http://bit.ly/16steps Here at 16 Steps, we not only specialise in tutoring new and upcoming producers, we also offer their exciting new music to the World through our label imprint. Our third offering comes from UK-born Texan resident Will Konitzer, with his debut Tech House EP 'Evensong'. This package come complete with a beautifully crafted melodic remix from UK/Australian duo Agent Togaand a collaboration between Konitzer and 16 Steps course tutor Alex Parsons. We hope you enjoy it! About The Release: Konitzer's original mix is a unique slice of Tech House, with luscious deep pads and a wonderfully progressive arrangement. As the track builds, fluttering high frequency percussion darts around a strong auto-filtered lead. This is soon replaced by beautiful arpeggiated synths on approach to the break. Kontizer then uses intense harmony creating a dense atmosphere before pulling out to just the kick and bass for the drop. A very effective number. Agent Toga have created one of their favourite remixes here (reminiscent of their Solaris Heights remix for Brique Rouge), drawing melodies from of the original and using a moving bass and hammond stabs to create a deep funky groove. In the break, a new chordal riff is introduced, lead the track in an entirely new direction after the atmospheric breakdown. Tried and tested in some of the World's largest clubs, this one is a must for any record box as we approach the winter months. Wind Through Wires is a collaboration between Konitzer and 16 Steps course tutor Alex Parsons. In this tougher rolling tech house number offering, key stabs compliment a heavy rolling baseline and atmospheric pad melodies. A pitch-shifted 70s disco tom occupies the breakdown, twisting and weaving its way through the main melody, before falling in on itself on the powerful drop. Not one for the early sets, this one will cause a stir in the clubs this season. About Will: Will’s passion is music and he’s been involved in it someway or other since an early age. He started his musical training at the world famous St. George’s Chapel as a chorister to the Queen. Will subsequently followed this with a music scholarship to Winchester College and a Tonmeister degree in Sound Recording. In 2006, Will erupted onto the London DJ scene, featuring alongside many of London's upcoming stars including Jim Rivers, Anil Chawla and Mark Sun at London's most renowned venues. His own deep, progressive Tech House promotion “Coordinated†a deep also became highly popular in the city. Will currently draws inspiration from names such as Hernan Cattaneo, Satoshi Tomiie, Nikola Gala, Cephalonya and Sebastian Leger creating a varied soundscape of music – expect chunky basslines, rolling beats and atmospheric melodies. Will visited 16 Steps in 2009 in order to develop his knowledge of sound technology, improve his workflow and gain more of an understanding of Tech House production techniques. We are so happy to be releasing his new and exciting debut EP. Read more: http://www.myspace.com/willkonitzer#ixzz1044tTc6Y
  4. ARTIST: Hans Bouffmeyhre ALBUM: Indecent Ep LABEL: Aciitone Red CAT: ATR013 RELEASE DATE: Out Now REMIXERS: Bigger Than Jesus | Hypertic BUY | LISTEN: https://www.beatport.com/en-US/html/content/release/detail/269312/indecent_ep# Another late night package from Aciitone Red with a two track Ep from Sleaze label boss and glasweigan tecnho guru Hans Bouffmeyhre. Indecent Ep serves up two moody slabs of peak hour techno, with quality remixes on offer from Bigger than Jesus and rising Dublin duo Hypertic. A big room bassline and a dark corner shuffle is the best way to describe title track Indecent, a super streamline production merging both retro and new school techno sounds to create a well rounded and highly infectious late night groove. A deeper B side with Heart Ache but with groove still very much in tact, atmosphere and tension is built with the clever use of twisted vocal and lead. Rolling percussion and fx create good pace throughout with killer build and twisted drop that’s sure to turn the club inside out. Bigger Than Jesus give us the first of two top remixes on this package and another techno bomb is on offer, driving low end comes together well with the clanging atmospheric bells, a refreshing take that’s sure to set any dark room alight. Back to the groove with Dublin duo Hypertic’sremix, as a churning, twisted slice of tech delivers on all fronts. Groovy low end, snappy percussion and super slick stabs complimented by twisted vocal additions and mass upon mass of energy this one is sure to work you up the walls. FEEDBACK: The Bigger than Jesus Rmx is cool. Thanks! James Zabiela Love indecent and Heartache originals. Great tunes. Dj Chloe Been playing all mixes. hard to pick a fav... Matador 4 track floor killer... Will be supporting, especially the Hypertic remix. Great stuff. Aaron Shim Top quality techno release from the consistently good Aciitone stamp. Mark Kavanagh

  7. We are London Friday 18th December @ The White House PETE GOODING ( We Love/ Space/ Renaissance) & IAN C ( We Love / Space/ Hed kandi) When you live in London you want to Live London - that cool vibe of an underground sound and international crowd. The reason WE ARE LONDON launched at Pacha in April and why the last party of the year on Friday 18TH December is dedicated to bringing the global house beats of Ibiza legend Pete Gooding and the supporting headliner of beat maker, percussionist Ian C, to the City. Select, stylish and purveyors of the full-on party action London is known and loved for, both are in the good company of previous headliners, which include Masiksoul, Oliver Lang, Daley Padley and Sound Diggers. With WE ARE LONDON’s reputation growing amongst industry and clubbers alike, the hosting of the main room at Eden Ibiza and this year’s events at Pacha highlight its commitment to bringing together an international crowd with the mixed music policy of underground and funky tech house, dirty electro and groovy techno. Not one for bland, formulaic lineups, the WE ARE LONDON promoters chose Pete Gooding for its event at The White House after listening to his set at Space on the terrace and thinking it the best set of the night. Not surprising given that he was voted Best Ibizan DJ 2002 and has played for the past 8 years at Café Mambo, providing the dancing sunset moments the island is famous for. From chill-out to cutting edge electronic music, Pete’s high-class sound has gained personal support from the world’s top DJs from Sasha to Jeff Mills and led to his playing across the globe every weekend for the past 9 years in over 55 countries. As likely to appear in a set by Laurent Garnier, Tom Middleton and Dubfire as it is by David Guetta, Pete Tong or Groove Armada, Pete Gooding’s sets are in demand from festivals like the Big Chill, Pete Tong’s Essential Mix and cheeky underground soirees in Croatia. And now with his productions including remixes for Groove Armada, Ultraviolet, Yoshitoshi and Cheryl Cole, receiving support from the underground and commercial streams alike, Pete Gooding’s class take on all things house looks to become even more popular in 2010. Second headliner for the WE ARE LONDON event and again an Ibizan gem is the slammin’ and jammin’ drummer and percussionist Ian C, invited back after his rip-roaring debut at W.A.L. launch in April. Having played across the globe in countries including China, Tokyo and South Korea for the Hed Kandi tour of Asia, Moscow, Dubai, Notting Hill Carnival, and live to the UK from Ibiza for Galaxy Radio, Ian C is best known for rocking the legendary Sunset Terrace of Space for the past two years. Supported by Roland and Boss his beats have supported DJs across the globe from old skool Carl Cox, Danny Rampling, Roger Sanchez, Erik Morrillo, Steve Lawler and Sister Bliss to current 'A' listers including, Ibiza legend DJ Alfredo, Martijn Ten Velden, Sander Kleinenberg, Chris Lake, Jon Carter, Tom Novy, and Seamus Haji. The man described as “great†by Mark Broadbent, the promoter of We Love Space, is set to add his unique take on the dance floor and, together with Pete Gooding, create a party worthy of you and all those in living, loving and rocking in London who want and expect just that little bit more. 8. GRUM Single: Heartbeats Release date: 26th Oct Label: Heartbeats Remixes: Joe & Will Ask?, Worship, Weird Tapes & Stockholm Syndrome Support inc: Aeroplane, Annie Mac, Rob Da Bank, Peter Hook (New Order), Roger Taylor (Duran Duran), Autokratz & Streetlife DJs No.5 Cool Cuts Chart "This is the greatest song of the 21st Century and if anyone tries to tell you otherwise they are an idiot...or they're an idiot who hasn't heard it." - Peter Robinson (Pop Justice/NME) - Record of The Day (25/9/09) "He may reside in Leeds but Grum certainly ain't grim - he's super, super!" Super Super "Our hottest tip since Aeroplane first took off" - Mixmag "If Grum is what the future of electronic music sounds like, save us a spot on the dancefloor" - Nylon "Grum returns with another dancefloor destroyer" - Daily Record "The blog kids have decided that they can't wait any longer for new Mylo material, so a fresh sample and synth hero has been elected to save us from Calvin Harris overload" - Future Music 9/10 - I-DJ Following on from the almighty 'Sound Reaction' and 'Runaway', much hyped 23-year old Scotsman; Graeme Shepherd AKA Grum is back with yet another dancefloor destroyer, the almighty infectious 'Heartbeats'. Already play-listed by DJs as diverse as Rex The Dog, Aeroplane and Pendulum, 'Heartbeats' is the kind of track that Mylo's 'In My Arms' would have sounded like if he'd been raving to Justice for the past couple of years. Taking inspiration from two of Grum's favourite albums, Daft Punk's 'Discovery' and Human League's 'Dare', 'Heartbeats' coarses through the veins, causing the same sort of pulse altering reactions that only true dance classics have the ability to do. Grum explains "Heartbeats was my first attempt at a real crossover dance tune, fusing French-house, pop, and Italo disco along with a cheeky sample from an 80s legend. It's my favourite tune I've ever written, hope you like it too!". With his electrifying re-workings of songs by artists including Passion Pit, Friendly Fires and most recently Lady Gaga and David Guetta, Grum is simply the producer and remixer-du-jour for a wide range of tastemakers it surely wont be long before DJs have at least three of his productions in their sets! When not holed-up in his studio in Leeds, Grum can be seen DJing at top places around the world from Bestival to The Warehouse Project (Manchester) to Razmatazz (Barcelona), all this in between planning some pretty special elements for his live shows, and adding the finishing touches to an album, which will most definitely be one of the hottest debut records of 2010 - we can hardly wait! Their debut single features the catchy yet poignant lyrics from elusive US-based songwriter 'Miss Amberlie' (who has also recently penned songs for various major top 10 Billboard artists) Originally tastemakered out to the chosen few mid last year to great reactions, 'Love Shock' now comes complete with a superb Starjackers remix as well as a minimal electro rework from new faces on Micky Slim's 'Bombsquad' label 'Escobar & Vito'. Also featured are big-room bassline mixes from Davey Boy and Nicky G on a classic organ tip, a 4x4 mix from rising bassline star Joe Hunt and a quality loved-up piano driven mix from 'D-Cord'. Lyrically resonant with a strong package of mixes in place and a sexy video promo, 'Love Shock' is undoubtedly set to be serious contender for one of the big tunes of 2009, working across the board for girls and boys alike. - TRACKLIST: The Edits 01- Love Shock (Starjackers Radio Edit) 02 - Love Shock (D-Cord Edit) 03 - Love Shock (Marcus Gauntlett Original Edit) The Club Mixes: 04 - Love Shock (Starjackers Extended Mix) 05 - Love Shock (Davey Boy and Nicky G 3 Evissa Mix) 06 - Love Shock (D-Cord Club Mix) 05 - Love Shock (Marcus Gauntlett Original Mix) 03 - Love Shock (Escobar and Vito Remix) 04 - Love Shock (Joe Hunt BassInjection 4x4 Mix) BUY HERE: Juno http://www.junodownload.com/products/1441034-02.htm DJdownload: http://www.djdownload.com/artist/Ruud%20Mover%20Feat%20Miss%20Amberlie/810738 Xpressbeats: http://www.xpressbeats.com/release/love-shock-45864 ITUNES http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=324142171&s=143444 Further Info: http://www.breakloosemusic.co.uk Andy Bury / Dale Corderoy t: +44 (0) 207 503 6655
  15. Artist: Idle Dance Track Name:Sunshine Summertime Label: Bright Pink Music Release Date: OUT NOW See the Video here: It’s not the end of summer yet... It’s still warm, and there is plenty of time yet to stretch out before winter comes around again. Two South London producers felt the need to celebrate, and the result is the stunning new single from <b>Idle Dance ‘Sunshine Summertime’.</b> Alex Parsons – better known for his underground house and techno remixes under the guise of Agent Toga, and Sandy Nuttgens, a former Perfecto based Skipraider, have created the perfect track to go with those balmy summer evenings. Whether you are starting on a night out, or returning in the wee small hours, ‘Sunshine Summertime’ has the power to set the mood, blending catchy vocals and acoustic guitar over bouncing dancefloor rhythms. It’s funny how the world seems a happier place when the sun shines, people smile at one another, and shed the inhibitions of their winter clothes. Summer in the city, when people free up and head for the nearest green space to share music and food and hang out with friends. Idle Dance have captured the moment. So here’s to sun, summer, good times, and above all, kicking tunes. Idle Dance – ‘Sunshine Summertime ‘ released on Bright Pink Music - Available on iTunes, Amazon, HMV and all good download retail sites.
