Hello all....my name is Andrew Knyte, founder of the website Njs4ever.com -- it's purpose is to celebrate New Jack Swing and the spirit of Rhythmic music from the Past, Present, and Future. I signed up primarily to spread the word about our 2nd NYC event (the first one happened at Club Lotus in July) and this one is taking place on September 8th, 2007 at Ashford + Simpson's Sugar Bar on the Upper West Side. 80's star Johnny "Just Got Paid" Kemp will deliver a live performance of his biggest hit (NSync remade it in 2000), and afterwards there will be New Jack Swing and Golden Era hip-hop all nite. For those who aren't familiar with the term, New Jack Swing applies to that R&B/Hip-Hop that was big in the late 80s and early 90s. Think Johnny Gill, Bell Biv Devoe, Keith Sweat, Heavy D, Pebbles, Jody Watley, Al B. Sure! ... people like that.
