I saw a couple people on Junior's myspace page talking about a JV message board... So here u go: http://www.facebook.com/board.php?uid=29887720590 It's through facebook (at least for now), but so far the commentary is more insightful and inspired and less bullshit. I've been around these boards from Eightball to the old CP to House of Joy to RobPromotions and I know it's the content that makes them interesting, not people battling each other in a forum or UltraVasquez membership giveaways. I don't read DJ Rico's board often, but I've peeked at it a few times over the years and I know many respectable DJ's that find it a good reference for domestic remixes and remixers. I think it sets a good example for what message boards serve to accomplish, and hopefully this new board can return to that. Message boards are just not interesting when they degrade into anonymous back-and-forths. So here's the deal... you can say what u want, but facebook doesn't fuck around. Your name is up there, and if you are just there to cause trouble, you won't be in that group for long. I told the Trade people I thought that the tickets were expensive for a weeknight and they appeased me. All this "Junior is bad" and "Peter is good" stuff (or vice versa) is a little overboard. I have known both for years, I have worked with both for years, and I think all this evil back and forth is just a mess. Neither one has anything to say about the other. It's all these "in the know" people stirring up drama, of which I can assure you I am not one. Informed, yes. In the know? Hardly. Peter Rauhofer deserves all the success in the world with his party at Stereo. He has nurtured it and built a following that extends well beyond the Roxy crowd. And he has a roster of talented DJs that guarantee the music will be good week after week. I went there for the first time last week and was pleased to see that his party is thriving at a time when afterhours are struggling to survive. For those that hate on Junior... You can kick him when he's down all you want, but what the hell do you expect? Seriously... Blood? Nobody owes you ANYTHING (insert Jerome-related website joke here). You don't like Junior...or Jerome for that matter, or even me, then go to some other fucking club, but leave the guy alone already. He doesn't deserve it. It's strange to me, as an observer, that all this energy is wasted on someone who (by your own admission) is all washed up. I don't believe the people here that are vying to be relative actually attend either Junior's events or Peter's. Don't engage these people. Let their karma be their undoing. I for one, will be at Peter's party at Stereo on Saturday and Junior's party at Cielo on Sunday. I hope to see some of you maniacs at both. Say hello. - Darren
