Wow you sure waited awhile to make your first post, pretty impressive. But no I haven't heard anything either. I know 1223 is opening up some new third floor with couches and beds and an art show, or so I've heard.

I'm the ultimate lurker. A shy guy waiting for the right moment. :D

I didn't know that about 1223. I'll have to check it out. Do you know what sort of night it'll be tomorrow? I'm heading to Andalu tonight with some pals.

As for Aqua, I just heard it from a friend of a friend. I hadn't heard a thing about the place so I thought it be a good idea to ask around. Hate to show up at an empty warehouse. Feel like a total ass.

Thanks!

it's late in the day and friday so I don't have time to look for the link, but here's some info.

iNFLUX Magazine will be launched in September of 2002. iNFLUX is an

alternative media source that brings the greater DC market the latest ideas

and trends emerging in our culture using provocative writing from diverse

perspectives, sharing insightful analysis of art to media or food to music,

and includes the tabooed down-to-earth news that other publications refrain

from sharing with their readers.

On Friday, April 12, 2002 we will be co-hosting a fundraising party at

MCCXXIII. All the money we receive from this event will be poured back into

the development and publication of these two new HOT mags!

The party will start at 9:30 sharp. Come check out a live hip-hop session,

listen to dj Ty T, and take pleasure in the art exhibit being shown by

artist and actress Amber Nelson.

In addition, Amber will be donating a painting as a door prize!

Ask for the magazine party and head up to the NEW 3rd floor with illuminated

glass dance floor. This is the debut of the new space, and we are going to

turn-it out. So, come join us. Admission is only $15 for VIP and Spank Access - This will be Limited!

If you have any questions, you can e-mail Getty Patricks (Juicy Magazine) at

[email protected] or Amy Schwab (iNFLUX Magazine) at

[email protected]

Add it to your calendar now:

Juicy and iNFLUX Magazine Fundraiser in conjunction with Soulstice

Productions - @ MCCXXIII

Friday, April 12th, 2002. 9.30pm-3.00am

Who the hell is Amber Nelson? Is she hot?

Haha....

Thanks for the info. I might check it out. My chance to hang with pretentious wanna-be partiers.

Let me be a schmuck and answer my own question.

Hehe...

The only thing I found out about Aqua is that it'll be sort of like the old Juliana's. I'm guessing it'll be mostly an Asian scene. The grand opening is actually is upcoming Friday.

Last Friday's party was a private party.

Has anyone heard anything else about this place?

Geez...I love that picture. I don't think I will ever get tired of look at it. ;)

I never did check out the old Juliana's but from what I heard, it was mostly a Korean. Lots of Asian and international students from GU too.

Got closed down twice because of massive underage drinking.

Try not to take this personally, Kuro. I'm sure it wasn't a direct attack. Besides, if you rip off one of Spinsaikel'd arms, he won't be able to dance so good for the Danny Howells show and you know that's when I'm coming up next and all that drama would ruin my whole night. So just chill, ok?
