Even if he trainwrecks the song so bad that it's hard to recognize, the artist is supposed to get royalties because someone has created a "derivative work" from their own work.So yes, they are supposed to get royalties, even if their work has been through the meat grinder and converted into noise, as long as they can prove that Tony trainwrecked THEIR track.
