RFK Stadium to Show U.S. - Germany World Cup Match Live on Giant Video Screen This Friday at 7:30 AM

Event Free and Open to General Public; Gates Open at 6:30 AM

WHAT:

The D.C. Sports & Entertainment Commission will open RFK Stadium to the general public to watch the United States - Germany World Cup quarterfinal soccer match broadcast live on its 33-ft x 24-ft. video screen. Fans are encouraged to dress patriotically.

SPECIAL GUESTS:

D.C. United and Washington Freedom players are scheduled to attend the event.

WHEN:

Friday, June 21, 2002

TIME:

Gates open - 6:30 am

Match begins - 7:30 am

ADMISSION:

FREE and open to the general public. Fans enter at Gate A.

PARKING:

FREE public parking available in lot 8 (parking lot open at 5:30 AM)

FOOD:

Concession stands will be open.

INFO:

202-547-9077. Regular stadium security policies will be in effect.

Doubt it Vic...that wouldn't be as fun......I know that in Kansas City and in Cleveland both stadiums had over 4,000 people at the last games.....

My boy plays for the Colorado Rapids and I believe they have the same thing there too...just an hour behind us.

huh, what are you talking about? England did not beat Germany in the FA Cup. The Fa Cup is a competition for English teams, at the club level in England. England beat Germany 5-1 in a world cup qualifying match.
