bkissa Posted July 30 Report Share Posted July 30 the link didn't work, but i've read about it and the ceo of abc or nbc or whatever the station was said its NOT going to happen in the US. if HIV muppet were to become a character i feel this country would be a little too politically correct. the muppets are not meant to be people, so how are they supposed to have HIV? as far as i know the only species that get HIV are humans and cats. what's next? african-american muppet? sprincess218 Posted August 2 Report Share Posted August 2 I believe the new puppet will only be introduced in Africa due to the fact that so many people have AIDS there. As far as the US is concerned, if they really feel the need to add a new puppet perhaps they should start with one who has cancer or only one parent or 2 mommies...something that is very real yet not so controvertial (although I know the 2 mommy thing is a big deal for some people).
