sassa Posted July 31 Report Share Posted July 31 11:00 2002-07-29WEST BANK: ARMED JEWISH SETTLERS ON RAMPAGE MURDER GIRLA 14-year-old girl was murdered and a 4-year-old boy was stabbed by Israeli settlers in Hebron, West bank, who went on a rampage after four Jewish settlers had been murdered by Palestinians in recent days. The girl, Nevin Mussa Jamjum, was shot in the head by a group of armed settlers as she stood on the balcony of her house. There are reports that the boy was stabbed when the settlers entered a Palestinian house. A large number of people were injured by the mob, including 15 Israeli policemen who were trying to contain their fury at the murders of four Jewish settlers in recent days. The Jewish settlers claim they were attacked by Palestinians throwing stones at them but this does not explain why they were in the Palestinian area of the city, heavily armed. The Al-Aqsa Intifada, which began after Ariel Sharon purposefully visited a sensitive area, has now claimed 2,379 lives, 1,760 being Palestinians and 581 Israelis.
