suthrnbelle
lol, did you ever "find strange hands in your sweater"? Don't tell me you don't know what love isWhen you're old enough to know betterWhen you find strange hands in your sweaterWhen your dreamboat turns out to be a footnoteI'm a man with a mission in two or three editionsAnd I'm giving you a longing lookEveryday, everyday, everyday I write the bookChapter One we didn't really get alongChapter Two I think I fell in love with youYou said you'd stand by me in the middle of Chapter ThreeBut you were up to your old tricks in Chapters Four, Five and SixThe way you walkThe way you talk, and try to kiss me, and laughIn four or five paragraphsAll your compliments and your cutting remarksAre captured here in my quotation marksDon't tell me you don't know the differenceBetween a lover and a fighterWith my pen and my electric typewriterEven in a perfect world where everyone was equalI'd still own the film rights and be working on the sequelAnd I'm giving you a longing lookEveryday, everyday, everyday I write the book

nyis4meatheads
Elvis Costello ROCKS!!! I had the incredible priveledge of hearing him (and many others) at a Linda McCarthy tribute concert when I lived in London. He played "What's so funny about peace, love and understanding" and absolutely tore the roof off of the Prince Albert theater! That may have been one of the best nights of my life.. I saw Elvis C, Sinade O'Conner (sp?), the pretenders, Tom Jones (so cool), George Michaels, that crazy African singing/dancing troop, and others that I think I'm forgetting. At the end of the night, Paul McCartney came on stage to thank everyone and while he was talking the lead singer came out with his old-school guitar! He played Let It Be, Love Me Do, and then everyone who had performed that night all came out with Acoustic guitars (there had to be 30 people on the stage) and all sang George Michael's faith! Absolutely incredible, plus it was free and I had front row seats! That kind of stuff NEVER happens to me!Sorry about the boring babble/reminiscing. Thanks for reminding me of that awesome time!
