I remeber i was at Studio 54 in vegas, and the big thing was techno, but then again to the people in Songs by Avancada and Derb is techno

thepulse
House is the answer it all comes from and back to house,"House Is A Feeling" Picotto has been around for years, his style constantly evolves, never heard him life, but I was spinning some of his records as far back as like 97 or 98. Saleen, no offense, but you talk about this guy like he is the latest thing, As you stay in Miami and are exposed to more international jocks, you mind will be expanded. If you read the trade magazines (DJ trade magazines, especially the European ones, You will learn about a lot of great jocks, long before we even hear them in the US).Just my 2 centsHouse Music All Night Long.ps. If you are listing Techno Jocks, How come Frankie Bones didn't make the list, one of the Godfathers of techno, along with Bostich.

bigsteve8
I'm all about trance, some of my favorite DJs are Tiesto and Taucher. DC is a pretty good scene for trance, while still banging out some good house, dnb, and even jungle. Sometimes, trance is where it's at, just wanna get swept up in the melody, but other times you want it to bang hard. But. . . fuck the fucking vocals. I despise the NY style, where it's all about the vocals, and there is even an "artist" to speak of? Eyra Gail, Perpetuouts Dreamer, Anastacia . . . all suck. Fuck KTU, fuck Beatstock, fuck live "headliner events" where a random woman sings with an overproduced voice and is a "star." When Alice Deejay broke in America, I was like "DJ Jurgen!" That was the person who actually created the music, Alice Deejay was someone he hired to do the vocals. And she was the STAR! WTF!It's all about the in the end . . . and a good one who can bang it out, from trance to breaks to house to jungle to dnb . . . let it ride. Lost beats, shoddy crossovers, loss of flow, heavy crowd dispersal. . .anytime the DJ can't play their crowd, no matter who it is. . . it pisses me off to no end.
