sunnyhost
Hi I was wondering if som-1 could help me out. I am trying to burn a cd and I can't get some files on there b/c they saved as "mpga." Does anyone by any chance know of a way to get them on to the cd inspite of this or perhaps change them to a format that will allow me to burn them such as Mp3 or something? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! open the folder where the tracks are, go to tools, click folder optionsthen view, then scroll down and make sure you uncheck hide known file extensions. all this does is show the full file name examplewith it checkedNarcotic Thrust- Safe From Harm (Peter Rauhofer Mix)with it unchecked Narcotic Thrust- Safe From Harm (Peter Rauhofer Mix).mp3it shows the .mp3all you do is rename it take out the .mpga then type in .mp3and bam you are done...it should work, but make a copy of the trakc before you try it..also if it currently plays in winamp, all you do is set the out put for disk writer or wav output, then it writes the file as a wav to a folder, then you burn it that way. wimamp is the best piece of software to fix files that are damaged, you'll get one every now and then that sez it can't be burned. winamp fixes it. do not go from a mp3 to a wav by changing the name, it won't work...hope this helped.. georgeacasta2
Your project is music CD change it to data CD and then those files should copy over with no problem. You won't be able to listen to it in your car cause it's a data CD. It will only work on a computer.
