Universal Buzz History and Highlights

Universal Buzz is a company with a mission: delivering the bravest artists in the universe to the masses via every medium known man. Universal Buzz has helped launch the careers of such contemporary music stalwarts as Kid Rock, Moby, Ani DiFranco, Less Than Jake, The White Stripes, and Thursday – as well as more than 300 others – through our national college radio program and other promotional efforts.

What We Need From You

Universal Buzz seeks a skilled and passionate person in the Washington, DC region to bring new music to the masses. The job will have you working closely with music retail, non-traditional retail, radio, press, clubs/bars, television, colleges, and other tastemakers in your market. This is a broad based music marketing and promotions internship, and guaranteed to be a lot of fun.

Compensation

For your hard work and dedication you will receive:

1. Expense Account (e.g. gas/mileage, copying, postage, envelopes, incidental expenses).

2. Calling Card

3. Tons of Free Stuff (e.g. CDs, concert tickets, etc)

4. Bragging rights (e.g. hanging out with rock stars)

5. Per project monetary compensation (approx. $70 - $150 per week)

6. Help in finding a job in the music industry upon graduation

Qualifications & Requirements

Universal Buzz seeks operatives that meet some, if not all, of the following qualifications and requirements:

1. Experience and/or interest in the music industry.

2. Passion and commitment to helping artists.

3. Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills.

4. Approximately 20 hours per week of free time.

5. Transportation (e.g. car or subway)

6. Be at least 18 years old.

7. Have a computer with an Internet connection
