How was the party at Chaos?

the Daft Punk guys never showed!

However, the place was packed and people were very much getting down so the party was definetly worth the 20 bucks I paid.

I was quite confused at first because even by 1:30 it seemed like the Daft people weren't showing...

I went over to the DJ booth myself to see what was going on.

Apparently these guys "Chris & Kai" were on the decks for the whole night. Supposedly they have a record coming out on Yoshitoshi but I've never heard of them before.

I actually left at 3am but those guys had the place bouncing VERY hard. They played some track that had this old Guns and Roses song change into French Kiss.

Very classy and very good.

Most people thought they were Daft Punk but I think the two guys deserved that sort of toungue in cheek praise. They were definetly extremely convincing if I must say so myself.

However, on the flip side...

I didn't get to see the people advertised on the flyer.. namely DAFT PUNK.

I don't know who the promoters are but they have some SERIOUS explaining to do to everyone at the party there.

Yes, i share your uneasiness about the next event as well.

That night was defintely lucky.

I know lots of people would have walked out if the music wasn't that good.

I definetly would not give the props to the promoters on that one. However, I would like to know if the DJs that played that night are playing again soon.

Yea well i was annoyed to say the least, figured out they were never even FUCKING BOOKED>>>>> this coming from josh of global bass @ LimeLight>>> But hes full of shit to, so who knows.

really annoyed with it, esp when i had guests from out of town, who came down just to see me, and catch Daft punk.

fighting with the door bitch, @ the door telling em i was on the HOUSe list, and than them telling me i wasent, paying the money to get in, and than no DAFT? WHA DA FUCK?

u know what they should do?

rip out all the Fake Shitty white Decor in side, build a better BAR

and throw some fucking black paint everywere and reopen it again as THE BANK

long time reader

i got to chaos early hoping for a night of some good

house and thats exactly what i got

chris and kai are good friends of mine

and i was hoping to see daft punk since i am

a big fan just like the other people at chaos that night

as you could tell when digital love came on and everyone was

reciating the words

i was a bit dissapointed when i look at the time

and daft crew was nowhere to be found

but chris and kai being the dynamic duo i have come

to love and respect made my night amazing

they rocked chaos like they were the headliners

they took the club on a great journey all night long

the good thing about chris and kai is that when you

hear a track thats really good and creative your neva

sure if its someone elses or theirs

i heard some classics mixed along with some of their own

produced tracks

i can truly say i was glad daft crew didnt show up

i got to see my friends do what house djs are meant to

do bring the roof down with the ups and the downs

it was just one of my most amazing sober nights

i can say unbiasly that they handled themselves proffesional

and treated the crowd like any good dj should given them

what they want and keeping it nasty at the same time

Well im a house head, and have been since the late 80's LOL

the music was good, but it wasent anything Earth Shattering

i didint get wet.....lets put it that way, but it wasent bad either.

my friends felt the same....a little to blaa for my tasting

This explains a lot; I was wondering why no Crydamoure tracks were played. I spent most of the time hanging out with the security sitting on one of the speakers. They were small moments of good tunes but I still felt ripped off. I stayed till the party was over just to get my moneys worth. I'm glad my friends didn't show after all the hype I set up for.

I would truly like to believe the Daft crew had to cancel then having to deal with shady promoters.

I don't like the new decor as well. I used to live at the Bank years ago, every Friday and Saturday. Its a shame there's no good goth club nights in the city anymore. I go to Downtime and its just not the same.:worry2:
