I thought Gateways were supposed to be good... then again, never heard anything about their customer support. I am a computer scientist. I do not own a computer. I couldn't fix one if you paid me. When my computer breaks down at work, I have to call somebody to help me. Try explaining this to your friends and family... they just don't get it! a1wave Posted September 18 Author Report Share Posted September 18 the tech people weren't the problem.. my monitor died so they sent me a new one.. then UPS delivered it to the worng address and it was lost/stolen... so i had to WAIT for UPS and Gateway to decide that they owed me a new one.... and that's when their customer service SUCKS! I must have spoken to at least 15 people over there (in South Dakota where their call center is)... dumb, imcompetent... and policies that make the customer SUFFER...okay, i'll shut up now...my new monitor is here at last!
