TWITCH RECORDINGS RELEASING LOOSE CABOOSE 2002 REMIXES

On October 1st, 2002, Twitch Recordings will be unleashing their latest 12†entitles Loose Caboose 2002. The original 12†version of Loose Caboose was released in 1995 and sold over 14,000 copies. It was licensed to XL Recordings (UK) for release overseas and has appeared on many DJ mix CDs over the past 7 years. Jim Hopkins and DJ Dan produced the original under the name of The Electroliners.

The Loose Caboose 2002 12†single contains remixes by Jim Hopkins, DJ Moon and DJ Hart, and Pacific Groove Collective. Acetates of the Jim Hopkins and DJ Moon and DJ Hart remixes have been played at raves and clubs for the past 4 months. The anticipation and excitement for the release has been building.

Jim Hopkins has been Djing and producing music and remixes for the past 22 years. His work has appeared on various remix services, including Disconet, Hot Tracks, and Rhythm Stick. He formed Twitch Recordings with two partners in 1991 and did A&R work for ZoeMagik Records a year later. He created the group, The Electroliners, in 1995 and continued producing remixes and productions under that name until 1997.

DJ Moon has had numerous releases on record labels throughout the U.S. His newly formed label: Pumpin Records has held massive acclaim throughout Florida & Southeast U.S. breakbeat scene. He has recently completed mixing his upcoming debut full length CD on Juice Recordings, entitled Lift Off. Included on Lift Off are Moon’s original productions and remixes of Breakbeat icons, including Groove Armada’s, “I See You Baby†and DJ Mike B’s Florida Breakbeat Anthem, “Feel My Energy.â€

Pacific Groove Project (Pete Zavala) started producing tracks in 1995. He produced his first remix project for Lenny “Linus†Douglas [Diamond – Sensuality] released on Straight Hits Entertainment. He also produced “Feel The Vibe†for San Francisco recording artist Alvendia. Keep your ears open for his upcoming drum & bass productions.

Twitch Recordings started out as a DJ Remix Service in 1991 and went on to produce 12†singles in 1992. The first 12†to be released was Ultraviolet Catastrophe’s “The Trip.†Twitch Recordings released other hits including Central Fire’s “This I A Shout Going Out.†A compilation featuring San Francisco artists (featuring Bassbin Twins, Astral Matrix, and Bass Kittens) entitled San Francisco Sound Spectrum and Jim Hopkins’ “Disco Dubs.â€
