kenminator Posted October 26 Report Share Posted October 26 I was away from NYC for a while and was surprised to hear that Canal jeans is closing. So I ran there today to check it out... It looks like a scam to me; after how many months of advertising to be closing, the shop are still full stocked; offering only 10% discount on most stuff. They dont looked like to be closing the store; but more like those dishonst shop that put out "out of business" sign permenantly. I bet they will probably be here months and years to come. nycchic24 Posted October 26 Report Share Posted October 26 its probably only 10% now, bc they still want to make some money and gross margin on their merchanidse. just as bigpoppanils said, in 2 1/2 months.... post xmas. the real discounts will come one to two weeks before xmas and after. if they are just closing that location, then they dont really have to liquidate the store - they will just transfer the merchandise to a different one. bobross Posted October 28 Report Share Posted October 28 ok sorry folks.... ends up theyre closing the one in BK too... some chickidee i was talkin to that works there said that Bloomingdales bought em out... i never really shopped there anyway... untill like a month ago i wanted 1 shirt but they didnt have it in my size, then they said they were gonna get a shipment in a few weeks, and next thing i knw, theyre closin...... basstids!
