NJstacked Posted October 28 Report Share Posted October 28 Eugenes sucked.....the place was beautiful and the crowd was ok...not into the club scene though....Lots of Alcada Osama Bin look alikes....THE MUSIC BLEW....I was there from 10:45-3am and must have just missed Richie....There was a rumor he wasnt even going to be spinning so we left....I spent 4 fucking hours listening to shitty hip-hop crap......It wasnt even good hip hop and theyh mixed in alot of 70;s type music.....I am so OFF Eugenes....it was not worth my $20...Cover....The drinks were good....but expensive.....I would have closed the place out if I knew Richie was going to come on .....but....after 4 hours...a fat ass ugly looking crowd.....and 2,000 Osama Bin Laden Look alikes later....We left..... I cant believe I missed Richie by seriously 10 mins....the worst part was the clocks got moved back an hour so I was really there alot longer than 4 hours.......I would have done the Factory thing if I didnt go to the Jets game today.... misssf Posted October 28 Report Share Posted October 28 OK- Richie went on about 2:15 or so.......no rumor he was there he did spin and if he were to spin all night Eugene's would be the bomb however for some reason he only spun for a short time. Nice place. I also had a good time on Saturday at Eugene's, I wish Richie played longer but I didn't get there until 1am so hip hop for me wasn't on all that long. bionic Posted October 28 Report Share Posted October 28 Eugenes definately SUCKED BIG TIME!!!I've been there plenty of times b/f on a Sat but hadn't been in a while. I Figured what the hell, I'll check it out and say hello to Richie.I got there around 12 and the crowd was horrible. Much different then it used to be. Had a a few drinks with Rich and asked him when he went on. He said 1:30. The music was horrible and I kept lookin at my watch in anticipation of some quality music. 2:30 rolls around and he's still hangin out by the bar. They kept pushin his set back he said. Finally he got on (at around 3ish) and I thought, FINALLY.I finally get on the dancefloor only to have the rug pulled out from under me and that other horror show come back on the decks. They only let him spin for like 20 min.What a shame, if they gave him more time and word got out, that party could have been somethin special. I think somebody better pull management aside and knock a lil sense in them.Even on Sat's in the past the music was much better. A pretty even mix of hip hop and house, but good stuff. Not the crap that I heard Sat night.Velvet Rope, I read your review in the other post and all I gotta say is lay off the pipe. You couldn't have been more wrong!!Thus night is definately the better night, but it's tough to stay out that late on a work night.......
