where are the middle east leaders.....

why with all of the coverage of the middle east do you rarely ever see a middle eastern leader speak out against the small group of fundamentalists in their countries......if there were a few pockets of anti-whatever here in the US that were planning and executing missions against innocent civilians we would have every political leader on their soapbox telling the world how wrong this is, how these few people do not represent our society, and most importantly these people would be arrested and brought to justice....it just seems like any leader in the middle east is so half assed at stemming this problem....we should not even have to be over there hunting down these people....the middle eastern leaders should be tackling this problem just out of decency to the rest of mankind....anyway, my point being that these asspipe leaders are so concerned with maintaining wealth and power that they would rather shun this problem in order not to piss off their people....their whole institutional system is such a joke!!!...we'll under a delusional mindset if we think that we can just attack places and install a new government....we'll literally have to knock off every government establishment in the middle east.....iran, iraq, syria, ect......this would be so bad b/c we are going to have to have our soldiers over there policing all of these places for the next 10 years....this whole situation is so grim..

These leaders dont say anything because behind our backs they support these radicals.....Members of the Saudi gov't donated millions of dollars to supposed "charities" that were well known to be fronts for Al Qaida and other terrorist groups like it.......And like you said....It gets their people's minds of the problems that their leaders are creating for them.....They live in an oppressed society where speaking out against the gov't could lead to your death....So the next easiest thing to do is pick on America and the West.......You can compare it to when a person gets mad at someone and instead of doing something to that person, they take it out on others cause its easier.......

This, i believe, is the gist of the argument here. The leaders in the middle east don't want to piss off the general population by rooting out terrorist elements in the system. They also don't want to appear to be siding with America, since a good portion of Middle Eastern people don't like the American gov't.

It's a tightrope to walk on, and it's not getting any easier with the U.S. threatening military action in Iraq :nono:

nycmuzik...i agree with all you say except for being killed for expressing your mind....unless you're in iraq or in saudi, this won't happen to you anywhere else in the middle east.
