Of course I may be biased since I grew up mostly between 7 and 8 Mile in Detroit and spent most of the movie trying to figure out where they were filming.But the best thing about the movie is now when anyone asks why I moved from Detroit, I can just say "have you seen 8 mile?"And for those of you who haven't been to Detroit. Yeah, it is that bad. Just a dreary, dead, dirty city, full of people who want out of there but can't get their shit together enough to make it out. And my roommate wanted to see it too. It was entertaining. He's actually quite an actor considering he has no training or background. It was like Rocky meets hip hop. This movie does not have to be just for fans of rap I myself do not listen to rap very often but do enjoy eninem's music and do not get caught up in the BS of hollywood that he is a racist etc.The movie is good it makes you smile, laugh and move your feet to the beat.2 thumbs up Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
