phatman Posted November 20 Report Share Posted November 20 Hearing funny names happens almost every single day at my job....we have a lot of Greek and Cyprian clientele which makes it really interesting....many Cyprians have names like Michael Michaelides or Nicholas Nicholaides...now the funniest i have heard to date is Kathorosporos...which literally translated means "clean sperm"...imagine the childhood he must have had...oh and my coporate account just got new consultants with the last names Dix and Cox...totally true... weyes Posted November 21 Report Share Posted November 21 in a small training meeting for my company, employees from around the district were required to do the "go around the table and introduce yourself" thing. my co-worker, ben makuta, introduced himself as "harry dong" with an entirely straight face, then said a little something about himself. everyone around the table snickered, as it was obviously a joke, but the trainer who didn't know any of us took him seriously and called him "harry" for the rest of the meeting.every time i think back on it i still laugh .
