Over the past year, Baron has unleashed a continuous assault of quality hardcore drum ‘n’ bass. In a style similar to Dylan, Total Science, Digital & Spirit, Baron has successfully updated the original UK hardcore breakbeat sound, matching today’s more sophisticated drum ‘n’ bass tastes with raw, old school junglism. Baron’s tribal, percussive style has wide-appeal with many segments of the drum ‘n’ bass community. “See Me Burning,†is his track on the “Sektor 1 EP†(the release with Total Science’s “Squashâ€). He takes credit for L-Plates, volumes 4 and 9, as well as for the recent “Sour/8 Bit†release on Juju’s Phuturo label. You often hear Mr. Tab playing Baron releases back to back at — both sides of each record!

DJWho has been a staple figures in the Baltimore DJ circuit for the past ten years. He runs Baltimore’s new EDM vinyl shop, Midtown Records. Celebrate the holidays tonight with his deep, soulful selections of the house underground. And Apple promises us her unique flavor of deliciously sublime house music for those who like it juicy during the holidays...

The last Saturday of each month, we’ll be getting SLEAZY in the BASS-ment. You might have heard about this new musical twist in the global EDM scene — ELECTROCLASH. Takes early ‘90s techno, merges it with ‘80s electro and synth-pop and adds elements of breaks, house, industrial, punk and occasionally drum ‘n’ bass. Check out Ministry of Sound’s “Tech Pop†compilation, Moonshine Music’s “Electro Nouveau†or the double CD “This is NOT the ‘80s,†for a preview of this sound. www.sleazedc.com
