He even had to take a sleeping pill at my house to fall asleep cause it hurt and was swollen. Make sure u always use lysterine after everything u eat and if its swollen just suck on ice and it will go down, also use some glyoxide that always does the trick. Oh and yea they always pierce it a little to the side good luck w/ the piercingps. But I did eat, try to eat thing's that are soft like french fries you gotta put them all the way in the back of your mouth and chew I know it'll be hard but it's something you could eat. Also you could eat yogurt and soup, that's what I lived on until the swelling went down. Just make sure you wash your mouth with Listerine every time you eat something so you don't end up with an infection. Hope my info. is a little bit of help to you. Just make sure you're rinsing with Listerine after you put anything in your mouth other than water....If it hurts to eat, stick with liquids til it's a little more healed... When i got mine done i couldnt really speak for like 3 days and my tongue was swollen for like 2 weeks. It hurt so much those first 3 days to talk so i just didnt, lol.
