guyman1966 Posted December 7 Report Share Posted December 7 While most everone I know was in Dade to party, I stayed on my home turf.Being that it was their Special Opening Night its hard to judge how its gonna be. Also, I did not stay late because I wanted to get up early for the UM game. With that said, it was a very nice night. It started to get crowded by 11P. A good crowd that consisted of a great cross section of society. Some older folks (even older than me) and then the almost 21ers who I guess get in because they are hot babes. Everyone was dressed to impress. The music was just OK. It was very 93.1ish (they were even live on 93.1), but it did not suck. The vibe was upbeat. I will say that by the time I left at 1A, it seemed that the guy/girl ratio favored the women. THEY NEED MORE HOT CHICKS, but the few chicks that were there looked nice. The expanded VIP area is nice and overall the VERY BLUE Paint did not bother me. The Lasers were awesome, but the Mega Air System seems way 2 loud. I’d definitely go back and hang. Matrix is not a spot for people who love good music. Since my ear is not as tuned as most on this board, I find it less offensive. When I need a music fix I hit SoBe or Space.
