lately a few of my friends have gotten on this health kick.. and i think its more than a kick... like theyve become obsessed with eating right... or almost so right that its unhealthy... more importantly torture... so basically heres the deal... they eat boiled/broiled chicken, turkey, tuna fish, and cottage cheese all day long!!! and more protein shakes than a porno has money shots... my one friend is 6'1 216-220lbs... (endomorph) so for him possibly this diet makes sense... however now theyre trying to get me to indulge in this ever so pleasant diet of death... however i am 6'2 174lbs... and a metabolism of a race horse... (literally, im like the prime definition of a ectomorph) now, as you know from reading the boards or just from talking to me, you know i eat relatively healthy... (actually i get most of my recipes/dinner ideas from mens health and a like) except on the weekends i pig out... (and by pig out i mean, a philly cheese stk , or a gyro with out any dressings or anything just the meat, chicken cutlet on a roll with lettuce no dressings, pizza or etc. you know deli food coming home after a night out... and they flip out on me... saying that its taking away from my training, all the time in the gym is a waste and etc... now do you feel knowing my body type, and etc... that theyre correct and i am wasting my time, or should i just keep doing what im doing, since i am seeing results anyhow???

i never said that its a waste for u to go the gym...i was just sayin that a big reason u dont see the gains u want (i believe u want) is because of the weekend eating...but if u read almost every diet ur allowed one cheat day... or atleast a cheat meal..but with the drinking your already cheating..u know?

If i wasnt so drunk i woulda said what i meant ...which is your not as skinny as u used to be and now is a perfect weight for u to cut up and have the ricky martin body u've been wishing for ....orrrrrr just gain more weight ...

so i say LIVE LA' VIDA LOCA

your diet is much more important then you think. i mean with a completely clean diet you'll see results much faster. if you worked out with eating like shit you'd see no results or see them much much slower.

if you want to see results faster i guess the answer is be more strict on the diet.

people around me have said eat anything in sight (when on steriods and are "bulking up") this can be said when someone who is skinny as well tries to bulk up naturally will try to eat anything they see. and where they are at right now they don't want to be. if you are trying to gain weight while building muscle try this strict diet your friends are going through, see what works for you and go with that. try to slowly go into it, i don't think you can jump straight into that torture you speak of
