A native of D.C., he was last on the scene from 1999-2001, where he cut his teeth at the Blue Room and ended as a resident DJ at Gazuza, under the moniker ‘House of Chang’. Now based in Paris, France, he has not lost touch with his roots in D.C.'s cosmopolitan cocktail of down-tempo, house, and dub beats. Better known as DJ MSG, the flavor enhancer, he has dropped an eclectic mix at Parisian venues such as Barfly, Café Cheri(e), Au Steps, and the Polo Room. He now works behind the decks with DJ/producer Patrick St. Ash for the "Grand Cru" and "red beans 'n' rice" parties. Together, they drop a spicy mix of soul, funk, electro-jazz, and hip hop. The down-tempo cool of D.C. and down-tempo buzz of NYC are blended together in Ben's cosmopolitan cocktail of electro jazz, nu-soul, and organic hip hop…Best served chilled.
