Music was excellent, club was okay, crowd sucked ass.I was really sick (from being in the 10 degree Glow weather *lol*) I made a valient effort and stayed till about 4 am but I had lost my voice by that point and was making barely audible squeaking sounds - haha.Other than that it was good Happy New Year everyone! shadygroovedc Posted January 2 Report Posted January 2 I spun at Felix. It was a semi-private party where a group of people rented out the whole place and sold tickets to 300 of their friends. The party was fucking rocking. My buddy Lou and I tag-teamed all night and threw down our best tag set ever. The majority of the crowd was totally into the music and somehow a bunch of people were dancing on the crowded floor. There was one loser who was talking to the coatcheck guy as I was coming out of the bathroom. He goes "This music sucks". The coatcheck guy told him to shut the fuck up. I told the guy they were playing hiphop in the other room and that he should just shut up and go over there instead of being a party pooper. I would've shit down his throat more, except his date was ugly, and I figured God had cursed him enough this New Year's Eve.I was deathly ill too. But halfway through the night, after a couple Red Bull Vodkas and with a ton of people bobbing up and down, I managed to forget I was so sick. Quote
mysteriousss Posted January 2 Report Posted January 2 Why did Buzz close? I never been there, but heard a lot about it..... So what else is around here? I only been to Glow several times..... Other than that, no clue LOL.. And yeah, I roadtrip to NY quite a lot, but only coz I don't know anyone here... And lately there's been SO much going on in NY, it's crazy... All the awesome DJs, every freakin' weekend.. Too bad I'm retired LOL.. Quote

Too bad I'm retired LOL.. drugs and the military. yeah, people in NY are spoiled. dont really know what they have. saw that centro was bringing in h-foundation on the 11th and jeff mills is at arc that same night. sometimes one doesnt really know what they have until they lose it.my partying has also gone down, but i'm ok with it. gives me more time to do otehr stuff, so i cant complain.check lemurgene.com and check the DC board, 1223 is OK sometimes, 5, places in adams morgan, etc. Quote
rockyblue Posted January 2 Report Posted January 2 buzz, buzz, buzz rocked so hard! good people, good music, great vibe! easily one of my best new year's eves ever. Quote
crank47 Posted January 2 Report Posted January 2 Buzz@Trust...WOW! Haven't had that much fun at a club since...Buzz@Nation! Great music, good friends, new friends, and an absolutely amazing vibe (and only $15 too!). By 2am the place was so trashed that I thought we were at Nation for a minute. Left around 5:30. Really wanted to stay for Buster's set, but he wasn't on till 8am... Quote
vicman Posted January 2 Report Posted January 2 was it really that good? i read a couple of reviews on the buzz board but i really never know what to make of them. Quote

I thought so. It got really crowded for a while, but not so crowded that you couldn't move around. Around 3:30 or so it cleared out a bit and there was plenty of room to move/dance. Amazing sets from Suneel, Zelda, Smalls, Edan and Ray Kang. Catching Ray and Zelda's sets was tough though because they were on at the same time and I had to keep running back and forth between the floors. Quote
