wallflour
try these sites:http://www.hotels.comhttp://www.hoteldiscounts.comhttp://www.orbitz.comhttp://www.expedia.comhttp://travel.yahoo.com (or http://www.travelocity.com )Search for "Miami Beach" so that you don't get downtown hotels listed first.Maybe you won't find the ones mentioned on the board, but you'll find somethingIf you see hotels on Collins Drive, you probably want a number lower than 3000. It's a long road. You can get lower prices by pre-paying, but even those deals seem to be going fast.or if you'll take any place that will take your price, try PricelineThat's what I did.Choose only South Beach, or else you might get a place a bit far away

pod
Try looking up hostels and whatnot too. It's not like you're gonna need a big room or something.

I wonder if the people running the hotels check discussion boards like these...$65, choosing 1-starGot Starlite on Ocean DriveCould I have done better, with either a higher minimum number of stars or a lower price?Someone please tell me how crappy it is
pod
There's a bed to pass out in. That's all you need. I've never really understood why people blow shitloads of money on a hotel for conference. It's not like you're gonna need something fancy...i.e. you'll be in it for like 4 hours a day max.

deanna11
If reservations can be transferred, I'll give you mine at the National. I didn't find that $3K on the street like I thought I would when I made those reservations. PM me if you want to work that out.I looked last night and there are still a lot of openings all over, particulary the chains

canyoukeepup
Hey everyone,I booked a house a long time ago for the winter music conference. and I no longer need it. It's right in South Beach, very big (3,000 sq. ft), totally luxury pad and perfect for WMC. Anyway, I posted online so check it out. I'll only have it online for a few days before I book it out for good. I am going to book out the rooms separately, so if you just need a room (and not the whole place), that's fine. There are only 3 available! I am only charging $231/night per room, which is nuts compared to what hotels are charging. Here it is: http://www.ellisendeavors.com/southbeachhouse/Good luck! This is the last good deal for WMC!
