Club One review

Club One is a very cool place - 4 levels, all decorated beautifully. The first level had kind of a garden theme - lots of plants and bamboo furniture, the 2nd level has a "pool" theme - the walls are blue and white tiled with little porthole picture frames on the wall w/ pictures of people swimming. The 3rd level was the dance floor, which was packed all night, so I really didn't get a good look, but this room had a sort of fire-like theme to it b/c of the pictures of flames on the wall and all the lights were that bluish/purple color that a flame gets when it's really hot. 4th floor is VIP, nothing special, just a bunch of white and chrome furniture and a bouncer in a suit "guarding" the stairs. The music was ok, not great though - some techno, some progressive and mostly hip-hop. The drinks were strong, but small and way too expensive. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the best), I give this place a 6. Even though it has 4 (well 3 for us commoners) levels, it is still a small place and there isn't much of a party vibe going on in there. It looked like everybody got decked out and just wanted to stand around and have people look at them. It's def. more of a beautiful people place, so I personally was bored out of my mind there. Way too snobby and would have been cooler if I was with a bigger group of people and we were more intoxicated. The place has potential, but seeing that it's here in Baltimore, I'm sure it will be done and over with in about 6 months.
