marcid21 Posted February 2 Report Share Posted February 2 the area code part of it is because there are too many phone #'s being distributed btwn cells, land lines and such. I also think it has something to do with x amount of #'s are assigned when a new area code comes about...Jersey has been dialing area codes for over a year....but, without the 1.
