richnunz
This is for ClubMiami,I know you where having problems with faxing over the guestlist information, well you still are. Thursday's guest list at Level worked (Thanks) but Saturday's didn't. We got there at 11:30 had to "fight" our way into the front and when I asked the guy he said no!!! Very embarrassing. But after talking to security he hooked us up. I have a question though. Why does every door person have an attitude and think their God? The rudest people work at these places. I have to exclude Space though, cause the few times I went there, security, door people, bartenders, where extremely pleasent. What I don't understand is, we are paying money to come to your club. We are the ones who keep you in business. Don't you think that they should be a little nicer to us. Now maybe this is all part of the "Miami scene". I don't know. I moved down from NY 2 years ago. This post is not out of anger just out of curiosity. So please help me to understand. Thanks,Richie
arrakis
I agree; totally. Bouncers in general are a bunch of fucking meatheads on a power-trip. Why else would anyone want to do this type of job? Once in a while you do meet a cool one; but most of the time they deserve a nice kick in the nuts. I guess though (to see the other side) that they need to be firm with some punks that shouldn't be allowed in clubs. But who needs attitude right before a nice night out clubbing? Guest genevieve
During the Winter Music Conference, we went to see Sasha and John Digweed at Shadow Lounge. I had called ahead to get 2 tables for my party. We got in no problem, of course. After we were escorted to our table we were told by the bouncer that the usual rules for the bottles had changed. Instead of being $300. per bottle per 4 people, it was now 1 bottle per person. What a fast one they pulled! We were kind of pissed but, decided we'd still go for it. After sitting for about 15-20 minutes with no one to take our order I really started to get pissed. (For that price I should be getting my feet rubbed, too) We were seated next to the owner's table. Which only a couple of people were seated at. Well, I go for my Evian and some piece of shit, dick head at the owner's table (No, he wasn't the owner) says in a yelling manner,"Hey, put that down thats not yours!".By this time I had just about had it. So, we picked up and went to the dance floor and had an unforgetable night! The lesson I have learned is never expect any service or hospitallity from all clubs and most restuarants in South Beach. 2nd, half of the VIP table area is reserved for fat ass Acosta. He needs some where to sit!
arrakis
Word up; Gen. I've had the bottle prices change instantly on me before as well. On a lighter note though, some friends and I during the WMC had an amazing time @ Groove Jet - 3 nights in a row VIP with AMAZING service (thanks to Reenie and Reggie). There's something about that club; even though the doormen there are still dicks. But I hear it may close down; wonder if this is true?

james954
groove jet was closed, and said to be turned into a resturant. i've been gutted about it for weeks. shame, that was the BEST club in south florida. i'll miss that vibe, especially when sasha, digweed, dave seaman or nick warren would come to town. arrakis
I agree that GJ was the best club in South Florida - in every sense of the word. But true that - the best DJ in the world has a residency at Shadow; long live Fat-costa! *hahahaha* P.S. Nolimit, bro - I got dibs on that backpack - it's mine! Thats why I make sure my trip is worth my while.
