I assumed it was him since he always posts as abstract and he was arguing about tenaglia and all that stuff.. Everything he was saying fit the LES Ali and what I remember from the boards and just talking to him the last couple of years, so I assumed it was him.. 5 vs. 14 years - could be professional vs. hobby.. It wasn't so bad. We left 10pm wed night and got there around noon thurs. I didn't do any of the driving because my friend wouldn't let me. I was fine with that. So we checked into hotel malibou on 39th and indian creek (one block away from the beach and borders collins). When we got there, green velvet was also there checking in. He had on a pink mesh truckers hat, and more weird clothing. Anyway, when we finally got our room, my friends started to argue (they are a couple by the way), and then I was out of a room for the evening (I didn't pay anyways). So I call up some other friends and stayed with them for part of the night. Thurs night:I checked out the Future sound of breaks party and some other all house party down the st from it. I also stopped by the safari cafe for some more breaks till 6am. walked around a bit. Ran into buster and marcello. Friday: checked out the Naked/Astralwerks party@nikki beach from noon-10pm. then stayed with another friend in ft. lauderdale.sat: ultra. It was pretty damn good. I checked out saeed n palash, sasah n digweed, john debo, sander klienenberg, steve lawler, Underworld, dave seaman, guy ordanel, hybrid, the streets, eric morillo tag teaming with pete tong, hernan cattaneo, and junkie XL.I'd say that Junkie Xl, underworld, sasha n digweed, hernan C., Saeed n palash, eric morillo w/ pete tong were the highlights of ultra. But junkie Xl's set and S&D's def. stuck out. good fuckin music.I had an OK time the first day since I went with the wrong ppl. the friends i went with wanted to go to the beach and argue and leave around 2:30 am. towards the end of the week it got better. I only spent $190 btw. i'm proud of myself for that. But nx year im def hooking up with someone that wants to stay out till the wee hours of the morn and I'm going to bring more money. My favorite WMC moment was Vicman, Shady, Abby, Digital7, Steffy & Koky sitting around Abby's apartment on Tuesday night putting on a quality after party (a pre-party for Vic & Shady b/c they went on to Tenaglia) ---------> Crackheads unite. The Balance Party was my favorite party simply b/c I still had the energy to enjoy it....had enough spunk to really get down and dance - Zabiela & Max Graham were my favs. Did anyone else notice Diggers played a remix of Smack My Bitch Up? <you gotta love nostalgic tracks> TinyButterfly - youre such a friggin' dj whore....you put me to shame!
