  • 2 months later...

1) It's still FWD

2) how heavy are those wheels?

3) I have NEVER seen a supercharger application using a front mount intercoolr. this leads to #4

4) Intercoolers have an inlet and outlet... intakes have an inlet only... my friends you are looking at a riceboy cheesecake intercooler wannabee intake... no?

With no internal engine modifications and no mention of any air/fuel controller I highly doubt this car's ability to both pass the longevity test as well as offer a significant horsepower gain.

This "project" smells like rice.

thats what i was thinking about the intercooler the whole damn time i was scrolling down this thread. i thought I was crazy and didnt know what was going on, but i cant see pumping cool air into a belt driven supercharger.

but the awd rally tibourans are pretty nice. 400hp. still not better than the wrx or the freaking 206's though. fuck an evo.

what are you kids babbling about... it says right in the specs:

• Spearco intercooler

the 2nd inlet is probably at the top or back of the endtank to accomodate the piping...

but i do agree... it IS fwd, and that was a good point about it being a stock engine... if it is, he can't be running more than 6psi, right? (correct me if i'm wrong, i'm not familiar wiht hundai engines)

but either way, at 6psi, its still probably good for street driving... how much does that thing weigh, anyway?

Silly rabbit... tricks are for kids..

I'd have to see the engine compartment so say for certain... but it sure looks like its a ghetto ass intake up front. sorry dude, look again. Do they even make intercoolers with a port on the side and one of the middle? Doesn't make any sense to me.

6psi on an engine like this is a LOT. They are relatively high compreessoin anyway.

its gotta be a custom IC setup, in which case its definately feasable...

you can weld whatever end tanks you want onto spearco cores...

but yeah, i don't know much about hundais, though..

ok, im still confused now. i thought that the purpose of an intercooler was to cool the air before the turbo shoved it back into the engine. am i right, or wrong?

who would weld a pipe in the middle of the IC?

you cant...

thats why they call it end tanks.

the only people i know who runs both inlet and outlet on the same side (one pipe runs on top of the cooler) is blitz

btw : i dont htink he painted it black or anyhthing

because if you look at that car, it looks very showy... so im sure hw would want as much bling on the car aspossible.
