Q about playing PVD tracks during sets

I was looking at my 'Nothing But You' 12" and I saw that on the copyright part it says "public performance prohibited."

I know it's probably not enforceable, but is that seriously why I rarely hear DJ's dropping PVD tracks?

I always thought that his songs were so signature that it would incredibly cheesy for somebody else to play them.

I'm just getting into spinning, so this may be a stupid question.
