cintron
it'd help if you gave us the year/model and mileage All an engine needs to fire is spark and fuel.so for spark:-Alternator [test for proper voltage]-Ignition System [plugs, wires, coil packs or distributor cap] make sure all contacts are fresh and not corroded.for fuel:-Fuel Filter-O2 sensor [hey you never know]If it still won't fire, you may have more serious issues. Sorry bro..91 pathfinder 6 cyl 110k milesMotor is clean not burning oil, tranny solid as well.. Its a second car that i drive to the gym and stuff and would hate to get rid of it..I gave it a tune up.. standard rotor plugs and cap also the fuel filter. I just changed the mass air flow sensor (used of course)because it would just stall all together when it warmed up..If I had to geuss it's either a fuel line promblem or injectors but I don't know where to tart.. Guest saleen351
doubtful its the injectors... the MASS air sensor, can be tricky... I think thats where your problem is.. New one should be 100 bucks, and check the wiring... Those clips do fuck up....
atomicapples
why dont you clean your injectors, and put in some gas treatment.nice and cheap.
cintron
changed the mass air sensor eh?yeah Saleen's right. I'd start looking at that. Remove it, check to see if it's dirty or not and whether or not the plug contacts are clean. Might also have to clean out the actual housing. Sometimes it gets dirty and sends funky signals to your computer. Also check for vaccuum leaks. Make sure all your intake piping is securely tightened and there are no rips in any of the vacuum hoses. After that, consider checking your fuel filter. If you can't remember when you last replaced it, go ahead and replace it. It's a 20 dollar part usually. Also, remove your distributor cap and check to see if there's water or oil in there. Sometimes stuff leaks in and messes up the contacts. If none of this fixes the car, take out a gun and shoot it.
teklord310
Sounds like a lose wire somewhere. There are a lot of things to check, it might be electrical. When the car dies and you try to crank it does it catch and die? Or just not fire at all. Good luck.
joeg
yeah, i'm kinda leaning in on the loose wire theory...check all the grounds and connections to the MAS...
atomicapples
fuel filter is an idea, but its a $50 partif there was a leak in the fuel lines, you can smell it.btw : what you should also look for is a lose plug wire.
mr mahs
After it stalls and I try to start it it takes 2 minutes to catch... Onc e it's catches the truck runs fine but only when I make a turn especially left it stalls..Cintron that taking it out back and shooting it is a great idea... lol
cintron
time to find a pathfinder or Nissan forum and post some specific questions there. They'll probably know of any glitches or issues relative to your car.
