JOHN HOWARD (om records, san francisco)

Part Two of the Summer Series 2003

Join us for a special four-hour set by John Howard.

John Howard is a legend in house music. He started DJing in 1993, during San Francisco’s infamous Summer of Love. John’s first regular appearances were at Groove Kitchen and the Boogie Buffet with Mark Farina. Then on to Stompy Stomp, Together with Dubtribe, Spundae, and Wicked.

John’s sound is smooth San Fran funk fused with a large dose of Chicago style, combined with his own brand of eclectic jazz and Bay Area influences. It’s always funky and it’s always different.

You've heard John rock it on the critically acclaimed SF Sessions Series from OM Records. And now he’s rising as a producer, with his track “Buddha Cowboy†appearing on OM’s 100th Release double CD. Visit http://www.headrushmusic.com to listen to a mix set by John Howard and to read interviews with him.
