bigpoppanils Posted May 8 Report Share Posted May 8 VW has decided to cease production of two models. The Audi A2 was Audi's entry level model, starting at around 17,000 euros. It featured an all-aluminum chassis and body, ultra fuel efficient engines, and decent performace (infinitely better than Mercedes' A-Class). Despite winning numerous awards from the automotive press, sales havent met VW's expectations. Which is a shame.The VW Lupo is also being killed off. Designed as an entry level VW (priced at 12,000 euros), its main selling points were build quality and fuel economy (70+ mpg with diesel). Unfortunately, it was often abused by the automotive press for its very high female demographic (over 70%). It also faced still competition from the Ford Ka and Smart City Coupe.
