I am a native new yorker and I have been going out in Manhattan for 10 years and I believe the new scene is in Brooklyn. Brooklyn has less traffic, less tourist and more parking space. My first recommendation is "Bar Below" on Smith St. & Baltic St. in Cobble Hill BKNY. Every Wednesday DJ's A. Frog, A.D.A, Ma, Nydia, MX Greens and friends spin a mix of 70's funk, todays hiphop and africa's afrop-beat as well as reggae. No Cover, Modern Interior and 2 Restrooms.
