sassa
downtown la is pretty ghetto at night...i know very well...how are you going to get around? will you have someone there with a car? hard to get around LA, at night especially, without a car.... if you did, (or not, i suggest http://www.enterprise.com=awesome deals for the weekend, rented from them many times...) i would suggest you get a place in or around orange county (by the LA county line...like around montebello or something, maybe huntington beach or newport beach/long beach....) OR check out this site: http://search.yahoo.com/bin/search?p=hotels+in+los+angeles&ei=UTF-8good luck! and have fun...
weyes
some parts of downtown are ghetto, but not where the bonaventure is. i live downtown and that's a great location, 'cause you're close to a few major freeways (the 10, the 110, and the 101); this makes it easy to get all over l.a. downtown's also a good choice 'cause it's in the middle of it all.but as sassa says, a car is necessary - no two ways about that. ther0ck
Wha do you recommened that has the it factor LALATE?
lalate
well.... personally would recommend a non-it factor place, your average reasonable place, that is closer to where you are going to be spending your time, because IT factor costs big moooola in LA ...But, here is the LALate "It" Factor Hotels for NighlifestyleTop 55 - Viceroy4 - W Hotel3 - Hotel Avalon2 - Le Mondrian1 - Bel Air Hotel - the super "it" of "it" for decades
lostin310
My fav is the W in Westwood, and I'm a hotel snob. The Bonaventure blows, though I think they remodeled. Besides, you don't want to be downtown.
