DESTINATIONS:

----------------------------------------------------------------

DC Skillz is heating things up in August! We’re in the process of making several changes to the DC Tunnel and to our format in order to make your night more enjoyable. We’ve added EXTRA SOUND AND LIGHTS to the main room to intensify the experience! Secondly, we’ve added an OUTSIDE COURTYARD with tables and chairs for some open-air exhilaration! Also, we are currently undergoing renovations on the upstairs room of music, so it will be temporarily closed. There’s only 5 DESTINATIONS left before school starts back up again, so we’ve gone out of our way to bring you the craziest themes and the biggest names. Enjoy!!!

DONALD GLAUDE

(www.djdonaldglaude.com / Moonshine - Seattle)

MIXED LIVE 2 live from Turnmills – available on Moonshine now!

The last few years have been very busy for veteran DJ Donald Glaude. Donald's in-demand, crowd-rocking style has given him the opportunity to travel abroad to such places as Russia, Colombia, Hong Kong, Peru, Mexico City, Venezuela, Acapulco, The U.K..,, just to name a few! Donald has been a club favorite and one of the most in demand artists in the country for over 17 years. He is one of those rare DJs who perceives their role to be that of an all-around entertainer and performer. In Donald's latest addition to The Mixed Live series, Donald, decided that he wanted to record it at the legendary nightclub, Turnmills, in the U.K. This mix combines Donald's mixing skills with the energy that have made him one of the most exciting DJs to emerge in recent years. There are only a handful of DJs that "must be experienced live." Donald, dubbed "The James Brown of DJs" by Dave Aude, with his dynamic, animated and energized personality definitely, is one of these select few. Join us in welcoming Donald to the main room of the DC Tunnel!

KRUST + DIE present:

I-KAMANCHI

Featuring MC TALI

(Full Cycle – UK)

Bristol born KRUST is a drum’n’bass legend. He co-founded Full Cycle Records alongside Roni Size in 1992, and many credit him with inventing “techstepâ€. In 1997 Krust was responsible for co-writing Reprazent’s massive album “New Formsâ€, and his solo efforts have been critically acclaimed, starting with 1999’s “Coded Languageâ€. Krust embraces numerous creative mediums to accentuate his music, deriving inspiration from photography and video footage.

In 1992 DJ DIE encountered Roni Size by chance at a Bristol Record store, which led to their first collaboration “Agility†on V Recordings and to Die’s ongoing contributions to the Full Cycle catalogue. Together with Roni, he originated the seminal “music boxâ€, which was to become the title track of the debut Full Cycle compilation in 1996. Solo efforts like “Landslide†and “Jittabugâ€, would help carve out a niche for Die, who became known for his ability to fuse the jazz with the breaks to create devastating, seismic floor shakers.

Originally from New Zealand, TALI is a classically trained singer and pianist (but her first passion is song-writing and composing), having been writing and recording her own music since she was 10. Tali best describes herself as a vocalist, as her unique style of MCing incorporates not only rhyming but soulful melodies as well.

Together, the three of them make up I-KAMANCHI, an electrifying live Drum’n’Bass performance that is not to be missed!!!
