rdntheshortbus Posted August 8 Report Share Posted August 8 BLUNKETT TO CLOSE GENDER GAP IN EXAM PERFORMANCE BY URGING BOYS TO BE MORE LIKE GIRLS Girls: boys David Blunkett, Education Minister, today proposed that boys should try to become more like girls in order to close the widening gap between the genders in exam performance. "The under-performance of boys," Blunkett said "Is a scandal. We have to act and act now." Under the new scheme, boys will be coached in girl-resemblance. In addition to their normal taught courses, boys will take modules in cheap cosmetic wearing, affection, tasteless female dressing, and teen-boy idolisation. "Something about girls makes them more successful at school," Prof Sarah Juniper, an educational psychologist told herdofsheep. "By resembling girls more, it's possible that boys could close the gap." A new-look 'boy' Juniper, who conducted pioneering experiments to show the effect of girl-resemblance on boys" academic performance, is convinced. "The results were clear. The more girl-like the boy became, the higher "his" scores in memory and cognitive tests." The proposal comes after Ministers rejected the idea of ironing out the disparity in exam performance by making girls resemble boys.
