ecpolo521
What a crazy day I must say. Power went down at around 4:20, perfect time huh. After that time, everybody just started to come out of their houses and stores and pack the streets. My friends and I reacted quickly by buying some essential products to last us the night, alcohol, water and smokes. I have to say it was a crazy day in NYC. People walking miles from Manhattan to get home. All street lights were down, but ironically, traffic still moved smoothly. Kinda looked like 9/11 without the panic & fear. As for myself and a majority of people in NYC, we were chillin' in beach chairs, drinking it up and just chatting while waiting for electricity to come on. As soon as night fell it looked like something out of Pitch Black. The only thing you can see at night was car headlights and people with flashlights. At around 5:00am, the electricity was restored and how good it was to feel that cold AC after a night of drinking. In the end, I know alot of people throughout NYC partied the night away. Thats why we are the city that never sleeps. The Blackout of 2003 is one crazy day I will never forget. Peace CP Miami. Enjoy your weekend. Keep partyin' and be safe. Hey, I'm glad everything turned out OK....I can imagine the mood of everyone in the city, knowing there is nothing else to do other than lay back and wait... I thought of doing the same thing if I would've been stuck in that situation.. picking up all the essentials... hehe pretty much like a snow day, only in the dark and right in the middle of summer... NYC is so crisis-conscious these days... not many attempts of looting or break-ins and that sort of shit... ppl helping ea other, and a buddy of mine told me even cabbies were driving ppl for free.. Hey ec.. did u have work today? My friend in wall street was there on point... kinda sucked, but the world keeps going in the financial markets, with or w/o power...peace!mp3.-
