UNKLE'S "Never Never Land"...

Just got it and I think it's beautiful...

Shadow's input is greatly missed

but Lavelle's collective this time

round includes: Brian Eno, 3D,

Stone Rose's Ian Brown together

WITH Mani (Belive it or not) Josh Homme

from Queens of The Stone Age, Graham Gouldman,

Prodigy Fire starter Keith Flint, Richard File

Jarvis Cocker and of course Mr. Mo-Wax himself

James Lavelle...

Unlike "Psyence Fiction" (Which for me

always felt like a "Too many cooks"

project gone wrong) "Never Never Land"

is layered with incredible tracks

that work perfectly as an entire Album.

THIS is the album Massive Attack

should have made! It's STONE ROSES

meets moody Trip Hop. HIGHLY recommend

it for any of you that likes deep introspective

electronic sounds with vocals.

ANY OF YOU HEARD IT YET?

Thoughts?

Dude, you have to come back here more often!!! :D

I haven't heard it, but anything that includes a trip hop influence i'd probably down for, i'll check out the site you dropped in there when i have a free minute :)

It's a great ride..

Moody..kinda dark with Rock elements

mixed into Trip-hop Massive Attack style..

I can't stop listening to it. (Great for a late night

bong session, Kamasutra training or headphone

mental orgasms..)

If your not familiar with The Mo Wax DJ Shadow

Cinematic trip-hop opera type stuff

I recommend you look him and James Lavelle up..

It's a nice change from House, trance and Techno...

(FOR OPEN MINDED PEOPLE THAT LOVE

ROCK AND ELECTRONICA ONLY!)

*THE REMIXES BY MEAT KATIE ARE HOT

AS WELL..(Look out for some of them on

the dance floor)

I fell asleep to this on my first listen.

Lavelle needs to take some Prozac and

cheer up. Snore fest...

Well aren't all the old bugs just crawling up

out of the wood work..Hey Crickket.

(Now all we need is GRAVITY and the VIP glam clan

calling me a "smelly poopy pants"in here and

it'll be just like old days.)

UNKLE isn't party music persay..

It's introspective electronic music that

brings to mind a mixture of SLOWDIVE shoe

gazing and symphonic synth textures..Indie Brit

pop meets nostalgic trip hop. Think MEZZANINE

hopping into a blender with THE STONE ROSES

with a dash of Brian Eno stirred up Mo-wax style...

It's like a sound track for euphoric day dreams..

NOT DANCE MUSIC (Though the Dance re-mixes out for

"An eye foe an Eye" are bad ass..I expect more as time

goes by and this album picks up popularity.)

But if you need a four-four 24-7 to think it's

"Good music" then power to ya..

To each his own Mr. Bug.

;)
