Meet up anyone?

Not sure about bars but since I'll be in town that weekend...if my "fixed" box can still get that PPV channel, then I'm having some peeps over for fight action!

All I know is I had a bet going with my girl... She said Mosley was going to take the fight.

When the bell rang in the final round I put my arms up. And she just gave me this ( Ah fuck I lost look )

The anouncement ( Mosley wins ) My jaw hits the floor... Her jaw hits the floor... ( Then brightens up with a big you lost smile. ) Everyone in the bar is arguing saying it was all bullshit...

All in all I told my girl that her winning the bet is under protest... :(

I'm not an avid boxing fan like most of ya are, but I know enough about it to think this. Boxing, just like any other professional sport, is a busniess first, then a sport. In other words...do you know how many millions will be made off ANOTHER rematch because of this? I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but it does make a lil sense.

I completely agree with you, but Oscar winning would still merit a rematch----I mean, I think it's deeper than that. Certain people (sanctioning bodies like the WBC, WBA) have it out for Oscar's promoter Bob Arum. It's a slap in the face to Arum, who after all, brought all this revenue to Las Vegas when he could have had more people watch the fight in LA, and then have 3 judges not give Oscar the benefit of the doubt........Boxing is and always has been the trash can of sports----this proves that it's not changing anytime soon.

Oscar won the fight, but here is two reasons why they robbed Oscar out of the win,

#1, If Oscar loses he can still bring in the big purses, because everyone knows Mosley didnt beat him, therefor a third fight would be a hugeee purse.

#2, If Mosley would have lost, his prestige as well as his career would have gone down the drain, that would have been his third consecutive defeat, and who would want to see a boxer who lost his last three decisions?, HBO would be stuck with a washed up fighter.

in conclusion that will be the last mosley fight I ever watch, as good as he, he is just a paper "chump", anyone with class would have admitted defeat, as his own corner acknowledged it before the begining of the 12 round.
