Yoshitoshi “In House We Trust†Tour 2003

Feat: Luke Fair & Desyn Masiello

At the forefront of Canada’s growing dance scene is Luke Fair. Selected by Danny Howells and Deep Dish as their ‘future hero’ in DJ Mag’s Top 100 issue. Luke continues to give club goers a taste of his funky and techy eclectic house sound every weekend at some of the best venues and parties in the world. His sets include everything from groovy house and techno to funky progressive and electro.

He has pushed his sound the world over, headlining at world renowned clubs like Pacha (Buenos Aires), Bedrock (London), Red Light (Pairs), and Space (Miami) to name a few.

In the winter 2002, Deep Dish invited Luke to join their exclusive booking agency, Bullitt Booking, who have since looked after his DJ bookings exclusively. Over the past few years, Luke has garnered attention for his extremely diverse and genre-crossing studio efforts. The likes of Sasha, Erik Morillo, the Plump DJs, David Morales and many others have all included Luke’s production in their sets. Pete Tong has featured numerous Luke Fair productions on his world famous BBC Radio 1 ‘Essential Selections’ show.

Desyn Masiello is a rare breed of DJ. Not content with founding one of the most exciting and respected new record labels in London, he also has a reputation as one of the most talented and upfront DJs in the world. His ear for a tune has become a hallmark; consistently picking up on unknown tracks and exclusives and turning them into dance floor monsters, which, make his every set a spectacular event. During Desyn’s flawless DJ sets, he displays a wide range of music and styles, from classics to deep sexy house to funky progressive, always feeding off the crowd and the vibe to deliver a set in tune with the occasion. His upfront style and extensive selection of material has earned him recognition and praise from the very highest levels. Ask anyone from Danny Tenaglia to Danny Howells and you will hear the same thing: Desyn is one of the most exciting new DJs in the world today. This is why Desyn’s DJ sets are now increasingly being demanded at the best clubs around the World.

An all-round music man, Desyn set up and runs Alternative Route Recordings. Never one to do things by halves, his first release was the mighty ‘KC Flightt – ‘Voices’, charted at No.1 by Deep Dish and played by almost every premier league DJ. The success of this long-overlooked track is testament to Desyn’s A&R ability to unearth hot music, both new and old, and forthcoming releases include tracks from premier producers John Creamer & Stephane K, 16B and DJ Vibe. Major labels have quickly recognised this ability and Desyn has been actively hunted for Head of A&R roles at labels such as Hooj Choons. However he is content to continue setting his own impressive agenda for the time being, and in doing so has just started another label in conjunction with DJ, Producer and close friend Omid ‘16B’, called ‘SEXONWAX’.

This combination of factors has seen Desyn’s reputation and workload skyrocket. The last year has seen Desyn constantly booked and travelling all around the world to DJ at some of the best clubs both in the UK and abroad. He has recently been signed to Deep Dish’s exclusive US DJ Agency - Bullitt Promotions - for bookings in the USA. A monthly residency at London’s top tribal and progressive house night ‘Elements’ has been established, and further afield he plays regularly at Renaissance (London, Nottingham & Worldwide), and is resident at Stereo (Helsinki), Pacha (Portugal) with DJ Vibe and Nylon (London).
