Interesting night at the UN

There was a special benefit show last night at the UN for all those lives that were lost at a Baghdad UN building last month.

Gilberto Gil, a Brazillian musician put on an awesome show in the UN General Assembly . It was so surreal

I was walking with my date, and POOF! Kofi Annan's wife is walking alongside us.

Then, at the show, Kofi gave a very moving speech.

Gilberto Gil's performance was dope. He sang bobby Marley, Beatles, and several other numbers. He encouraged us all to sing along, even though it was mostly portuguese

It was just a special, close-knit event that had so much meaning to it. And it was crazy that there was a concert in this room where dignitaries and foreign ambassador's usually hold court

I was glad to be a part of it
